Qingyang Jiuhua Shenlong Valley: A Scenic and Enchanting Mountain and Water Secret
In the gentle embrace of early autumn, I embarked on a journey to seek the beauty of nature, with the destination being the distant and mysterious Qingyang Jiuhua Shenlong Valley. Here, not only does nature showcase its magnificent craftsmanship, but many ancient and charming legends are also passed down, inspiring longing in the heart.
Departure: Where the Dream Begins
At dawn, as the first ray of sunlight pierced through the mist, I had already shouldered my backpack and set off with great anticipation. Outside the car window, the scenery unfolded like a painting, gradually transitioning from bustling cities to tranquil countryside, and then to endless mountain ranges. Each frame foretold that the upcoming adventure would be a feast for both the eyes and the soul.
Exploring Shenlong Valley: The Interweaving of Nature and Myth
Upon arriving in Qingyang, I transferred to a local bus, and the winding mountain road led me deep into the embrace of Jiuhua Mountain. Shenlong Valley, located in the heart of Jiuhua Mountain, is said to be named after a divine dragon that once dwelled here in ancient times. Entering the valley, the first thing that caught my eye was the crystal-clear stream, its flowing water like nature’s most melodious symphony. Following the stream upstream, the undulating mountains on both sides and towering ancient trees filled the air with the fresh scent of earth and leaves, refreshing the mind and spirit.
As I ventured deeper, one wonder after another appeared. The most astonishing was the “Shenlong Waterfall,” which cascades down a cliff hundreds of meters high like a silver dragon soaring through the sky. Its majestic power sprays water droplets everywhere, creating a misty fairyland. Standing beneath the waterfall, feeling the droplets gently brush my cheeks, it seemed to wash away all worldly troubles.
Visiting Ancient Sites: The Imprint of Culture
Besides natural scenery, Shenlong Valley also hides many cultural treasures. Along the way, I visited an ancient temple—Longyin Temple. Though small, the temple’s incense never ceased, and inside, ancient trees towered while the bell’s chime echoed, offering a sense of serene detachment from the mundane world. According to the monks, this was once a favored retreat for scholars and poets to cultivate themselves, leaving behind many famous poems and inscriptions that immerse visitors in the weight of history and the charm of culture.
Climbing High for a Panoramic View: The Awe of Jiuhua’s Summit
To fully appreciate the grandeur of Jiuhua Mountain, I challenged myself to climb to its highest peak—Tiantai Peak. As the altitude rose, the mountain path became steeper, but the scenery along the way made every effort worthwhile. Finally, standing atop Tiantai Peak, overlooking the mountain ranges with clouds rolling like seas and sunlight streaming through the clouds in golden rays, all fatigue vanished, leaving only awe and infinite reverence for nature.
Return Journey: A Spiritual Cleansing
As the sun set in the west, I began my journey home. Looking back at Shenlong Valley, my heart was full of reluctance. This trip not only allowed me to witness the magnificence and mystery of nature but, more importantly, it was like a spiritual cleansing, teaching me to find moments of peace amid busy life, to respect nature, and to cherish the beauty before me.
Qingyang Jiuhua Shenlong Valley is a place worth visiting again. Its beauty lies not only in the scenery before your eyes but also in the power that touches the heart. I believe every encounter is a rare gift in life, and Shenlong Valley is the most precious memory of this journey.
