Hatshepsut’s Masterpiece: A Temple Fit for a Pharaoh
Temple of Hatshepsut is located in Luxor Egypt. It is a very magnificent mortuary temple built for Hatshepsut, one of Egypt's most powerful female pharaohs.
Getting There - I went there as part of my Nile cruise tour around Luxor and Aswan.
Highlights - The temple is carved into the cliffs of the desert. The temple has stunning grand three tiered terraces, colonnaded halls, and carbings that depict Hatshepsut's reign and stories. The temple is known for its unique architecture and stands as a testament to Hatshepsut's legacy and the grandeur of ancient Egyptian civilization. You can also see many statues of Hatshepsut in different divine forms.

Egypt | A beautiful palace in Luxor.
Al Moudira is probably the most beautiful hotel in all of Egypt. It's a bit remote, so remote that you might think you're being sold on the way there, but once you step into the hotel, it's like you've entered a paradise.
The hotel covers an area of nearly 8 hectares and is conveniently located on the way to the Valley of the Kings. At the beginning of its construction, everything from the overall architecture to each piece of furniture was carefully designed and arranged, and even each brick used was custom-made in a brick kiln in a nearby village.
All 56 rooms and suites have garden and courtyard views. The interior combines Turkish, Arab, and Moorish styles, and the furniture is carefully selected from handmade products from various countries in the Middle East. The Egyptian cotton bedding used in the room is embroidered by the local company "Threads of Hope", which provides embroidery training and job opportunities for women in the region.
In terms of food, Al Moudira chooses to cooperate with craftsmen in the surrounding villages, and the ingredients are all from nearby farms. You can dine in a beautiful room, the main courtyard, or the pool pavilion. In addition, you can also choose from three restaurants: Ottoman Hall, The Main Court, and Khan Al Moudira.
The walls are canvases, the sun is a paintbrush, and time slows down, allowing you to steal half a day of leisure from your busy journey.

📍 Hatshepsut Temple, Luxor 🏛️
#summerdestinations
Visited the incredible Hatshepsut Temple in Luxor, and it was absolutely breathtaking! This ancient masterpiece, carved into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, stands as a testament to the power and legacy of one of Egypt’s most famous female pharaohs 🇪🇬
🌟 Majestic Architecture:
The temple is a marvel of ancient Egyptian architecture, with its grand terraces and towering columns blending seamlessly into the limestone cliffs. The symmetry and scale of the structure are truly awe-inspiring—seeing it in person was like stepping back in time🏺
🗿 Rich History:
Dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, who ruled Egypt in the 15th century BC, this temple is a tribute to her reign and her divine right to rule. The walls are adorned with detailed carvings and hieroglyphics that tell the story of her life and accomplishments. It’s amazing to see how well-preserved the art and inscriptions are after thousands of years! 📜
💫 Why I Loved It:
What I loved most about the Hatshepsut Temple is its unique setting and design. The way it’s built directly into the cliffs, with the desert landscape as a backdrop, makes it one of the most visually stunning temples in Egypt. It’s a place where history and beauty come together in the most remarkable way.
If you’re in Luxor, visiting the Hatshepsut Temple is a must. It’s not just a piece of history—it’s a work of art! 🌄

🔍 King Tutankhamun’s Tomb:
One of the most famous tombs here is that of King Tutankhamun. Seeing the resting place of this young pharaoh, whose treasures dazzled the world, was a surreal experience. The intricate details and artistry are awe-inspiring 👑

🇪🇬Egypt|Fly over the Valley of the Kings!
🎈The ancient Egyptians regarded the sunrise in the east as the beginning of everything and the sunset in the west as the end of everything, so all the temples were built on the east bank of the Nile, and the tombs were located on the west bank. The Valley of the Kings is the largest group of royal tombs in Egypt, where 64 pharaohs were buried. Due to the large number of tomb robbers, many tombs have been destroyed.
🎈However, the Valley of the Kings is the most popular among tourists in the entire trip, because you can take a hot air balloon to fly over the entire airspace and watch the beautiful sunrise at the same time. It is highly recommended! (But I have to get up at 4am…)

Valley of the Kings and Temple of Queen Hatsheput
We started a packed tour in Luxor with our first stop at Valley of the Kings, The Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Amazing to see the detail of the drawings on the walls, it looks a couple of years old, amazing that they've preserved it so well over the years. Tour guides tell the story beforehand because they are not to talk and explain inside the temples, it helps that you know the story when you go in and see the story on the wall. Hasteput was scorching hot we were in and out under 30 minutes. I would say this was least impressive of all the temples we've seen in Luxor.

Egypt-Luxor🇪🇬The Queen's Temple has stood for more than 3,000 years
📍Located in the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Luxor, Egypt.
🔹Haspsus means "the most noble lady" in ancient Egyptian. She was the pharaoh of the 18th Dynasty (reigned from about 1479 to 1458 BC) and also a famous female pharaoh of ancient Egypt. Haspsu is also known as one of the most important and greatest women in history. Not only did she rule Egypt for 22 years, she also opened up the golden age of ancient Egypt.
🔸This is also the only three-story temple in Egypt, with its unique shape and extraordinary architectural style.
Whether viewed from a distance or up close, it is spectacular and magnificent.
⚠️The on-site environment is very hot, please remember to drink water and wear sun protection equipment🪖

Temple of Hatshepsut
Hatshepsut's Mortuary Temple
A mortuary temple built by Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh of ancient Egypt, located on the west bank of Luxor, Egypt.
It was designed by Hatshepsut's close aide and architect Senmut.
It was later partially destroyed by Thutmose III, who scraped off the murals and inscriptions.
The west bank is home to necropolises such as the Valley of the Kings and Deir il-Amadina, and has been considered the "world of the dead."

Valley of the Kings 😍
Okay so Valley of the Kings was BONKERS.
It's a series of tombs carved into a mountain range and all decorated with beautiful hieroglyphics and art. Many of the colours are still near-perfectly preserved. It was really mind blowing
I've only ever watched documentaries and read books about ancient Egypt, imagining what it would be like to see it in person. I still can't believe I did and let me tell you, it was amazing ( To think I stood in a place that was built thousands of years ago, seeing the craft of ancient Egyptians and their way of life. It's a feeling I can't describe

valley of the kings
It takes around 1 hour from the city to valley of the kings, if I don’t remember wrongly. You can sit to the golf car to the valley of kings or you can walk as well. It is up to you. When you reach there, there are many tombs. However, there are no mummies here because all of the mummies is shipped to the museum. There is a tomb, you have to pay extra to access to the tomb. overall, this place is so beautiful.

Wonderful trip to Egypt
Egypt is an amazing place full of many mysteries. The Valley of the Kings is a special place where one can feel the energy of the past and fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere. The place is very hot so it is good to dress appropriately and avoid dark colors. It is appropriate to visit the winter months when temperatures are not very high.#christmasgiveaway #egypt #history

The AMAZING Valley of the Kings
This is one of the most incredible places in Egypt. The Valley of the Kings is where the pharaohs were secretly buried. 😊 There is more than 60 pharaohs buried here in differents caves. The entrance fee is 5 euros and give you the right to enter 3 differents caves at your choices. Some caves are more expansive. It completely worth the visit. There is a restaurant and a bar inside the Valley of the Kings where you can buy a bottle of water if you need. It’s completely amazing. 👏🏻
