#providence, Rhode Island might not be the first thought that comes to mind when you thing the words vacation. However, this is a nice little New England Town that's located basically between New York City and Boston. If you're spending time in the Northeast, this is a good place to check out. You can enjoy the many bars and restaurants downtown near the State Capitol Building. #triplocal

48 hours in the state Capitol and there was plenty to see. The beautiful state building is incredibly central and looks stunning both in the day time & all lit up at night. In fact, Providence is stunning for night photography with all the bright coloured retro lights & architecture. Sadly there wasn’t anything showing at the Performing Arts centre during my stay, but the building itself was a work of art.

The capital city of the United States smallest state is one that is often overlooked but there a plenty of reasons why this should be a stopping off point when visiting the North East The riverwalk- gain fantastic views of the city whilst looking into quant shops and restaurants. Providence Anthenaeum- visit the stunning library that was once frequented by Edgar Allan Poe. Brown University- walk around the historic grounds of the famous Ivy League university. We found the perfect spot to relax, The Memorial Park. This peaceful and historic space serves as both a place of reflection and a scenic gathering spot. Located along the Providence River, near the intersection of South Main Street and Memorial Boulevard, it’s part of a larger network of parks in downtown Providence. Memorial Park is known for its various war memorials that honor Rhode Islanders who served in different conflicts. Among the most prominent are the World War I Memorial, World War II Memorial, and the Holocaust Memorial. In addition to these monuments, the park features public art and sculptures, enhancing its serene and reflective atmosphere. With its well-manicured lawns, trees, and benches, Memorial Park provides a calming environment, perfect for sitting, relaxing, and enjoying the surroundings. Its location along the river offers beautiful views of the water and the cityscape. Rhode Island is great for short trips and is easily accessible from Boston and New York. As the smallest state in the United States, it has endless surprises to unlock and is super easy to visit. The seafood here is also delicious. It’s a paradise for eating. The pace of the city is also slow. Starting from New York, drive for 4 hours all the way to downtown Providence. 🍰【Pastiche Fine Desserts】 You can make a reservation online one day in advance. Rhode Island’s must-try desserts are delicious and you won’t get tired of them. Signature Fresh Fruit Tart, available in two sizes, 8-inch and 11-inch It is filled with a layer of fruits and paired with custard sauce, which is full of flavor and layered. 🍱【Mokban Korean Bistro】 There is a Korean restaurant on the street at the door. The cuisine is more traditional Korean and the menu is illustrated with pictures. I recommend their Pork Belly and Bulgogi Stew, both are delicious. 🏫【Brown University】 The Ivy League campus has been completed, and the buildings on the entire campus have a classical charm. I like the vitality of the campus, the skateboarding boys, and the students reading on the lawn. ⛲️【Waterplace ParkWaterplace Park】 The old town is also very easy to visit, there are not many people, and you can overlook the entire city from the center of the river. Walk along the river, enjoy the wind, and unlock another way to see Rhode Island from another angle. Recommend GEORGES BANK COD and POINT JUDITH CALAMARI 🌄【Beavertail State Park】 After seeing the ancient castle, you can drive here to watch the sunset and the unique rocky coast. The stone lighthouse is accessible on weekends and there is a large lawn for camping. 🌊【Cliff Walk 40 Steps】 The seaside trail behind the castle can unlock the castle view from another angle 🎠【Newport Downtown】 Different from Providence’s classical feel, Newport has a more literary atmosphere. The urban area is not very big, there are only a few blocks where you can go shopping, and there are also small shops on the streets. 🍤【Flo's Clam Shack】 Their seafood is caught fresh every day, and it’s a seafood restaurant with a history of nearly a century. Fried clams are their signature, and the fried food and fresh seafood are also pretty good. Recommend Flo’s Raw Bar Sampler and Fried Clams 🪁【Brenton Point State Park】 Both of Rhode Island’s islands are visited together by car. It’s a very local park. You can fly kites here, and there is also a stone fort hidden in the jungle. 🗿【Fort Adams State Park】 It was once used as a border fortress and is now open to the public as a park. There are open tours inside the fortress, and you can also go to the park to see the cross-sea bridge. 🌄【Point Judith Lighthouse】 On the way back to New York, I checked into a seaside lighthouse park where I could catch the sunset. It takes 22 minutes to drive from Newport, and you will pass a cross-sea bridge along the way.

#freehotelstay#travel my family booked a place to stay for my son’s graduation. Beware of false advertising. The place was in East Providence, Rhode Island. It was dirty, the dishwasher was not working, and there was no dish soap or rack to clean dishes.
