Point Leo is located on Western Port Bay in Victoria, offering a peaceful coastal setting surrounded by vegetated basalt bluffs and wide stretches of sand. Famous for its surf‑friendly beach, fishing opportunities, scenic walks, and bushland views.
🏕️ Camping at Point Leo Foreshore Reserve
Offers 168 campsites, of which 45 are powered. Beach‑front spots are available near sites 1–11. I stayed in beach front spot and it will cost you start from $37 per day.
The camping ground itself is beyond expectation. They are kids friendly with playground inside, BBQ Facilities and fully equipped kitchen.
🏖️ Beach Time
Point Leo Beach (~500 m long) is popular with surfers. Come in the early morning, you will see a lot of surfers, there’s also a surfing school there.
Because it’s a coastal line area, you can just walk along the beach and see many interest things.
If you have fishing gear or even a canoe it’s even gonna be better! The waves is pretty chill.

Do not worry about food supply, in case you forget bring something. There’s general store just 5mins walking from camping ground and they also have beautiful pastry selection.

🗓 Day Trip Itinerary: Pt. Leo Estate – Mornington Peninsula
🕛 12:00 PM – Arrival at Pt. Leo Estate
After a satisfying brunch, we arrived at Pt. Leo Estate around midday, welcomed by coastal views, vineyards, and a peaceful, artistic atmosphere.
🍷 12:15 PM – Sculpture Walk with a Glass of Pinot Noir
We began our visit with a glass of the estate’s 2017 Pinot Noir and strolled through the Sculpture Park for about 1.5 hours. The mix of large-scale artworks, open fields, and sea views created a beautiful, reflective experience.
🍇 1:45 PM – Wine Tasting
After our walk, we made our way to the Cellar Door for a guided wine tasting. The team was knowledgeable and passionate, offering insights into the Estate’s varietals and winemaking process. Each wine was well-crafted and expressive of the region.
☕ 2:30 PM – Light Snack at the Wine Terrace Café
To finish, we enjoyed a light snack at the Wine Terrace Café, soaking in the final views over the vineyards. It was the perfect way to slow down and savour the moment before continuing our journey through Mornington Peninsula.
