Zhaoqing Ziyun Valley is really a great place for water activities. It has cool streams, a wave pool, and a swimming pool. As soon as you enter, you can see the photos I posted above. With such beautiful scenery, any random shot can turn out to be a masterpiece. The pictures above are unedited and straight from the camera, so you can imagine how stunning it looks in person. This is truly a hidden gem.
📝Note tips: It is recommended to visit from Monday to Friday when there are fewer people. Weekends during the summer holidays are really crowded. It is also recommended to apply sunscreen, bring enough water, and definitely bring a swimsuit because most activities there involve water and taking photos.
❤Recommended reason: Photography enthusiasts should definitely visit because any random shot looks great. You can tell from the pictures above.

Summer Cool Spots Around Guangzhou
Famous for a long time, I finally visited Ziyun Valley.
A pool of emerald water, like a blue-green gem embedded in the valley, is breathtakingly beautiful!
A water-friendly spot, with babbling streams, crystal clear water, cool and refreshing, perfect for cooling off, playing in the water, and stream tracing. Both adults and children have a great time!
Key point: Although it's a summer weekend, go early! Go early!
We arrived at the scenic area parking lot around 9 o'clock, and there was basically only one row of cars parked. There was no need to queue for tickets or boarding the boat, and there were very few people playing in the water. We played for about three hours until noon, and as we were heading back, the main crowd started coming in. They had to queue and endure the scorching sun. Go early and play early. There are water, ice cream, and water play equipment for sale at the entrance of the scenic area, and a few restaurants. However, if you plan to play in the water for a long time, it's better to bring your own fruits and snacks.

Zhaoqing - Ziyun Valley
36 degrees in Guangzhou, people basically stay in air-conditioned rooms and can't come out. The only motivation to go out on weekends is to run to the mountains + water to escape the heat. Ziyun Valley in Zhaoqing is one of them, with really good water quality✅, perfect for cooling off and stream trekking!
Ziyun Valley, as its name suggests, is located in a valley⛰️. You can't drive directly there; you need to take a boat🛳 from the ferry terminal first.
Although this mode of transportation is somewhat interesting, it can't beat the real heat of summer. The high temperature walk from the parking lot to the ferry terminal is a torment, but fortunately, the boat is air-conditioned, so the experience is not too bad.
Once you take the boat to the other side of the river and enter the gate of the scenic area, you will truly feel the temperature drop a few degrees🍃.
From the entrance to the stream in the valley, you have to walk a mountain path. When you reach the water, the temperature drops again. The first hydrophilic area you pass is the most crowded because the water is shallow, mostly with children playing. The further you go, the fewer people there are, and the deep pools are more suitable for adults to swim in.
Although people often say Ziyun Valley is the 'Little Jiuzhaigou of Guangdong,' it's not really the case. The water is truly clear and you can see to the bottom, sparkling and cool under the sun, ensuring a safe and enjoyable time.
There is also a swimming pool🏊🏻 in the scenic area, with changing facilities. Heading to Ziyun Valley for stream trekking and swimming should not disappoint.
In addition, you can also take a light hike🚶♂️, as walking through the entire scenic area still involves climbing a few small hills, so it's not recommended to wear flip-flops directly.

Who doesn't know about Zhaoqing's Little Jiuzhaigou - Ziyun Valley!!!
Ziyun Valley is located within the Xijiang Lingyang Gorge Provincial Nature Reserve in Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province
You can take a taxi🚗 to the Ziyun Valley ticket office (about 25-40 yuan, different prices on each platform) There are parking lots🅿️ nearby for self-driving, the scenic area is free, but there is a charge for parking in the village
You need to take a ferry🚢 to the scenic area, which runs every 15-20 minutes, and it takes about seven or eight minutes to cross, after which you buy the tickets.
