Enlightenment on the Way - Guanyin Dharma Realm
Guanyin Dharma Realm is one of the main attractions on Zhujiajian Island, Zhoushan. It is said to have been built at a cost of 10 billion yuan. Geographically, it faces Putuo Mountain, the Buddhist Kingdom on the Sea, across the sea, and is close to Zhoushan Airport.
The core building is the Guanyin Altar, with two buildings on the left and right, respectively, the Shancai Building and the Dragon Girl Building, corresponding to the Golden Boy and Jade Girl under Guanyin's seat. The square in front of the altar has a diameter of 219 meters, corresponding to Guanyin's birthday on the 19th day of the second lunar month; the total building area is 61,900 square meters, corresponding to Guanyin's enlightenment day on the 19th day of the sixth lunar month; the building height is 91.9 meters, corresponding to Guanyin's ordination day on the 19th day of the ninth lunar month.
🌟Scenic Experience
Traveling in the off-season, there were very few people, and from the moment I stepped into the Guanyin Dharma Realm, the emptiness and tranquility made me feel inexplicably peaceful. When I entered the Guanyin Altar, the words "Buddhist music purifies the soul, the treasure is solemn, and the compassion for all beings" came to mind. There was no incense in the altar, only a faint scent of sandalwood. The altar displayed various statues of Buddha, from different dynasties and made of various materials. As I quietly observed the Buddha, many of my entanglements were released. The statues, which had been around for hundreds of years, appeared before me, weathered and mottled, yet still standing firm. All joys and sorrows are insignificant in the face of time. I believe in the power of time to heal all wounds.
📌Tips:
1. Pay attention to basic etiquette when worshiping Buddha, and do not make noise.
2. If you want to take your time to view the altar, children may become impatient, so plan accordingly if traveling with children.
3. There is a vegetarian noodle shop called "One Bowl of Noodles" before entering after buying tickets. Vegetarian noodles are 12 yuan per bowl, with radish, red bean soup, etc. Highly recommended.
4. There are many exhibition halls in the altar, and there may be more exhibitions in peak season, but fewer in the off-season.
5. Off-season is from November to March of the following year. Ticket prices: 80 yuan per adult, 40 yuan per senior/child.
6. ID card is required to purchase tickets.
