This time, we planned a four-day three-night trip to Macau and Zhuhai. Although we haven't been to either place before, based on our previous experience in Hong Kong, it shouldn't be difficult, so we arranged a free trip. At the beginning of the planning, the biggest concern was transportation. It's easy to search for itineraries online, and in the end, we found that the most convenient and fastest way is by taxi. For shorter distances, you can check the free shuttle bus routes of major hotels to save some money. There's also a light rail, but the routes are limited and it only accepts Macau currency, so this time we only took hotel buses and taxis (splitting the fare among four people is cost-effective) and walked part of the way. Another important thing is the internet. I bought an eSIM with unlimited data for four days. Next, let me introduce Chimelong Ocean Kingdom: It has eight themed areas and a spectacular "Whale Shark Aquarium," which is currently the world's largest marine fish exhibition hall. It houses various marine creatures, including several whale sharks and large sea turtles. There's also a 360-degree panoramic aquarium that offers a full view at a glance. There are also many types of penguins, as well as rare Arctic wolves, Arctic foxes, and polar bears 🐻❄️. Not only are there things to see, but there are also many thrilling rides suitable for all ages, including various roller coasters. Key points: If you're staying for two days like us, I recommend starting on the right side of the park on the first day. 🐋 WHAT AN AMAZING AQUARIUM 🌊

The place was just beyond my expectations. Amazing aquarium, really awesome. Insane roller-coaster and the lights and fireworks show at the end are great. The Ocean Aquarium is one of the largest in the world and I could have spent all day there just watching the majestic whale sharks. There is a cafe that has direct viewing windows into the aquarium, providing the most amazing photo opportunities having a coffee watching rays, sharks and fish. Worlds BIGGEST water/theme park!

Situated outside the Guangdong city of Zhuhai is Chimelong Ocean Kingdom and boy is this place awesome! There is a whopping 8 areas to see within the park, all with a different theme. Loads of restaurants and chill out spots for the family and a MASSIVE aquarium area. Don’t forget, at the end of the day there is a huge show put on including jet skis, water jet pack men, fireworks, drone displays - you name it, they’ve got it. However it is later on in the evening and the little kids may be struggling by this point after a long day of craziness. Easiest way to travel to the park is shuttle bus from Zhuhai or take a taxi but traffic on the way back can be a little crazy leaving the park (talking from experience 😅) and obviously more expensive. Chimelong Ocean Kingdom, Henqin, Zhuhai

Chimelong is an ocean resort theme park in Henqin 30 mins drive from central Zhuhai. There are several nearby hotels including the hugely impressive Chimelong hotel and some theme hotels like the penguin hotel and marine science hotel. This park is an amazing day out, maybe multiple days if it is busy and queues may take longer. There are several animal exhibits showing animals you might never have seen including dolphins, belugas, whale shark, brown bear, polar bear, Arctic wolf and fox, turtles, penguins and more. The whale shark exhibit is particularly impressive and the viewing area is truly spectacular. It has multiple world records for it's size. The park also has multiple theme park rides including a large rollercoaster with multiple loops. It's quite intense so maybe only suitable for rollercoaster fans. Most of the rides are aimed at families with kids. The park has two large water rides that are quite fun and will get you very wet. There are shows in the beluga and dolphin theatres that are really incredible. The animals are trained very well and the shows will impress you. There is a 5d cinema and a larger circus theatre but they are currently closed. #zoos #themeparks #aquarium #staycation

Getting There - Chimelong Ocean Kingdom is a water park and aquarium located in Hengqin, it’s 30km from Zhuhai downtown. Taking a taxi or a didi is very convenient and takes between 30-40 minutes. The park is really well equipped with rides, shows and the amazing aquarium. The park has the biggest tank in the world with 4 whale sharks in and its absolutely spectacular. Attractions - Hengqin is not only home to Chimelong Ocean Kingdom but it’s also bordering Macau. At night you can see Macau skylights. Chimelong has many shows during the day, the best show was the dolphin show and I would highly recommend it. They have a closing show daily starting at 19:30, make sure to get there a little earlier to have space to stand, the show consists of many fireworks and a jetski show, definitely not to be missed. Hotels - In the park itself they have hotels, otherwise Hengqin has many options and so does Zhuhai Food & Restaurants - In the park they have many restaurants. However when in Hengqin, go try some Italian food at Portofinos, it’s located next to Hengqin Central Mall , on the corner of Huandao East Road and Xiangjiang Road. #themeparks#summervacation
