Between Qingtang Town and Gong'an Town in Zhongshan County, Hezhou, Guangxi, lies a stretch of karst peaks spanning dozens of miles. These clustered peaks, each with its unique charm, have earned the area the nickname "Little Guilin." This is the Zhongshan Ten Mile Gallery. Today, I braved the wind and stepped into this gallery. The first sight that greeted me was the Old Man Rock, standing like a venerable寿星 (god of longevity), its facial features distinct: short hair, long eyebrows, deep-set eyes, and a welcoming smile. Its left hand is raised high, as if beckoning me in. It's truly magical. Continuing my stroll, I saw a series of undulating peaks unfold before me. Some resemble swords piercing the sky, others like towering jade shoots. Among the most stunning are the Lotus Pond Peaks, the Twin Peaks, the Three Sisters Peaks, the Husband and Wife Mountain, and the Guanyin Mountain. They create a vibrant and captivating natural painting that stretches for ten miles. Suddenly, a tranquil lake appeared, nestled amidst the mountains. As the breeze brushed the water's surface, the reflections of the mountains danced in a silent, mesmerizing performance. The Ten Mile Gallery is breathtakingly beautiful. Secluded and elegant, it boasts the wild charm of the mountains, the natural beauty of streams and fields, and the picturesque scenery of mountains and waters. Being here feels like experiencing the tranquility of "picking chrysanthemums beneath the eastern fence, gazing leisurely at the southern mountain." It's a real-life Shangri-La. I was deeply moved and enchanted by the scenery, immersing myself in the landscape, lost in the gallery, reluctant to leave.

🚄Transportation Take the high-speed train from Shenzhen North. It takes a little over 2 hrs to arrive at Hezhou Station directly. It's easy and convenient. 🏠Accommodation Stay in Huangyao Ancient Town to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the town. 🌈Itinerary Day1️⃣：Lingfeng Square → Gupo Mountain → Lingfeng Mountain → Huangyao Ancient Town * Morning: After arriving at Hezhou Station, take a taxi directly to Lingfeng Square (approx. 20 mins). Enjoy the local specialties and start your food journey. * Noon: Buy some milk tea, take your luggage, and take a taxi to Gupo Mountain (approx. 40 mins). It's full of negative oxygen ions, but it may be in the dry season, so the waterfall may not have enough water. 🚶‍♀️Gupo Mountain travel guide: Arrive at 13:00 or 14:00. In order to get the checked luggage in time, I chose the sightseeing bus to tour Line A - Colorful Eco-tour (Xiangu Waterfall — Xiangu Lawn — Jiupu Xiang Distillery — Xiangu Temple — Lovers' Forest — Fangjia Tea Plantation). The sightseeing bus will take you directly to the terminal station. After you finish the tour, remember to keep your ticket! * Afternoon: Take a bus from Gupo Mountain to Lingfeng Mountain (approx. 1 hr, you can navigate to Lingfeng Square). I wanted to enjoy the beautiful sunset, but it seemed to be under maintenance, so I didn't get my wish. However, the sunset glow in the square was also amazing. * Evening: Take a taxi to Huangyao Ancient Town. At that time, admission was free during certain periods (consult the homestay owner in advance). After checking in, stroll along the stone road at night. The red lanterns light up, and the ancient town is full of charm. Day2️⃣：Huangyao Ancient Town → Zhongshan Landscape Painting Pastoral * Morning: I wanted to get up early to watch the sunrise, but I gave up because I couldn't book a car. I strolled around the ancient town, checked in at the Dragon Bridge, Sima Residence, and Guo Family Courtyard, and enjoyed the slow pace of life. * Afternoon: Go to Zhongshan Landscape Painting Pastoral (approx. 1 hr). Some areas are still under development, so the experience is average. (Something interesting happened here. I booked a car to go there and back to the high-speed rail station, and I booked the same driver🤣) 🍱Food check-in: Hezhou urban area: Braised Snail and Chicken Feet, Rongshuto Late-night Snacks, Liyi Beef Intestine and Sour Soup, Liaoge Crucian Carp with Rice, and Cuichashi Huangyao Ancient Town: Guji Private Kitchen and Xilaideng Private Kitchen 💡Tips: 1. It's best not to carry bags when watching monkeys in Gupo Mountain, because they will snatch them. I had a milk tea bag that was torn by a monkey!

The Zhongshan Baili Ink Painting Gallery Scenic Area is located in Gong'an Town, Zhongshan County, Hezhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is 16 kilometers away from Zhongshan County, 19 kilometers from Zhongshan West Station of Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway, 16 kilometers from Zhongshan Exit of Yonghe Expressway, and 6 kilometers from Yingjia Exit of Guiwuzhou Expressway. In addition, it is located next to National Highway 323, with extremely convenient transportation. The planned area of the scenic area is 60 square kilometers, of which the construction area of the first and second phases is 36 square kilometers. This scenic area is a representative of karst peak forest landforms, with various natural landscape features such as peak forests, lotus ponds, countryside, and ancient villages. The mountain and water of the peak forest stretch for hundreds of miles, and the attractions include Peak Forest Pagoda, Nantian One Pillar, and Ink Lotus Pond, etc. It is like a huge ink painting scroll, with green mountains and clear waters, green lotus ponds, gentle breezes, swaying lotus flowers, presenting a kind of natural and pure beauty.
