Zhaoping Park is one of the most popular cherry blossom viewing spots in Alishan. The sight of fully bloomed Yoshino cherry blossoms is truly breathtaking. Last year, I visited this place in early March. Standing on the observation deck in the park at 6 a.m., I gazed at the cherry blossom forest that resembled a pink sea of clouds, and my mood felt completely healed. What makes this place special is that you can take the Alishan train to the station and directly walk into the sea of flowers, making it an ideal destination for families and elderly visitors. The park is surrounded by well-maintained trails, perfect for photography, strolling, or simply sitting under the cherry trees to read or daydream. Even better, during the annual cherry blossom season, small music events and markets are held around Zhaoping Station, adding more fun to the flower-viewing experience. Though the park is not large, it offers a rich sense of layers with mountain views, trains, and cherry blossoms. Every photo taken here looks like a postcard.
