8 Days and 7 Nights in Zhanjiang: An In-Depth Travel Guide!
I just got back from Zhanjiang and can't wait to share my 8-day, 7-night in-depth travel guide! This trip, I avoided the crowds and chose the relatively less-traveled Naozhou Island and Nanji Village. I ended my trip in the city center, enjoying the vibrant atmosphere. It was a fantastic experience!
🌟 Itinerary:
Days 1-3: Naozhou Island | Experience the tranquility of a pristine island
* Must-sees: Nayang Sea Stone Beach, volcanic rock coast, Naozhou Lighthouse, and Cunliang Bay
* Accommodation recommendation: Naozhou Island May Coast Homestay. Since we had a large group, we chose a villa facing the sea. It offered great value! Picture 1 shows the view from our room.
* Food recommendation: Seafood feast! Fresh and affordable! You can eat oysters to your heart's content!
* Travel tips: Drive or rent an electric scooter for a tour around the island, feeling the sea breeze on your face. Watch the sunset by the sea in the evening—it's breathtaking!
Days 4-5: Nanji Village | Visit the southernmost point of the Chinese mainland
* Must-sees: Nanji Village Monument, Heshuixian, Artist Tribe, and Dengloujiao
* Accommodation recommendation: Xuwen Wangjiao Haiju Inn. Facing the sea, with spring blossoms in the air, you can watch the tides ebb and flow every day. You can also go tide pooling right outside the inn (Picture 7).
* Food recommendation: Try local snacks, such as shrimp cakes and salted duck eggs.
* Travel tips: Get up early to watch the sunrise at the southernmost point of the Chinese mainland and feel the warmth of the first rays of sunshine. Visit the Coral Museum to learn about marine life and experience the wonders of nature.
Days 6-7: Zhanjiang City Center | Experience the charm of a coastal city
* Must-sees: Jinsha Bay Seaside Corridor, Chikan Old Street, Zhanjiang Museum, and Huguangyan Maar Lake
* Accommodation recommendation: Sheraton Zhanjiang, conveniently located
* Food recommendation: Zhanjiang white cut chicken, sandworm porridge, Boji Fan...a foodie's paradise!
* Travel tips: Watch the sunset at Jinsha Bay in the evening and experience the romance of a coastal city. Visit Chikan Old Street to experience the historical charm and taste authentic local cuisine.
💡 Travel tips:
* Transportation to Naozhou Island and Nanji Village is relatively inconvenient. It is recommended to book ferry tickets and accommodation in advance.
* Zhanjiang is hot, so pay attention to sun protection and heatstroke prevention.
* Prepare tide pooling clothes for children so they can enjoy tide pooling every day.
