Century-old Yuyuan Road
🌟 Highlights:
Yuyuan Road, a street in Jing'an District, Shanghai. This road is not very wide, but it is also not short, stretching from Jing'an Temple at the easternmost end to the vicinity of Zhongshan Park at the westernmost end. Yuyuan Road is located in the western part of the city, spanning Jing'an and Changning districts. It starts from Changde Road in the east and reaches Changning Road in the west. It is 2775 meters long and 15.0 to 18.1 meters wide, with a roadway width of 9.9 to 11.0 meters. In 1911, the Ministry of Works built the road by reclaiming land beyond its jurisdiction, naming it after the famous garden 'Yuyuan' at that time. Along the road, there are many apartments, new-style lane houses, shops, the Global World Building, and the Paramount Theatre.
