The Little Potala Palace.
At Yulin👉
I rarely use "shocking"‼️ to describe a place‼️ Explore the Yuntian Palace, known as the "Little Potala Palace" in Guangxi, which is said to be solely funded by Taiwanese businessmen, costing 3 billion and 26 years of construction still not completed...
It is most famous for having the largest bronze Buddha in Asia, located in the center of the 6th floor of the main building: 30 meters high and weighing 660 tons. Standing under the Buddha statue will make you feel very small, very shocking‼️
1️⃣Is it worth a visit❓
🎫Tickets are booked one day in advance for 149r, and 180r on the same day
It is not cheap in the whole country, so the most discussed is "worth or not".
Objectively speaking, to understand Yuntian Palace requires a certain knowledge of Chinese traditional culture, history and art appreciation. So the answer is different for everyone‼️
2️⃣What to see❓
Don't worry about not understanding, the ticket already includes a free professional guide, the guide explains for 1.5 hours
Including 0.5 hours of outdoor explanation and 1 hour of indoor explanation. The building🔨 is up to 21 floors, currently only 1-6 floors are open, and the types of collections are very rich:
✅Woodcarving Art Museum: displays Chinese main woodcarving techniques and works, each one is priceless
✅Collecting magical giant trees and rare treasures from all over the world
✅The Wood and Jade Ceramic Museum, which has been meticulously crafted for 20 years, can appreciate the magical carving art🗿
✅Taiwan Culture Museum: Introducing traditional architecture, humanities, tourism resources, folk crafts, cultural relics, natural minerals and other resources in Taiwan, China
✅Folk Festival Museum: Displaying the magical folk customs and cultural phenomena of folk festival activities in various places in China for thousands of years
✅The 30-meter bronze Buddha on the 6th floor, etc.…
There are many more exhibition halls that are not listed one by one. If you are interested in Chinese traditional culture and carving art, don't miss it‼️

Yulin check-in, this content seems to express a love for a certain scenic spot.
This content seems to express a love for a certain scenic spot, and at the same time, it is not very interested in some scenic spots that sell historical and cultural points.
First of all, different scenic spots have different characteristics and charms. The Forbidden City, the Summer Palace and the National Museum carry a rich historical and cultural heritage. They are the treasures of the Chinese nation. They show a long history and splendid civilization through ancient buildings and cultural relics. Their value lies not only in the landscape, but also in the cultural connotation and historical significance behind them.
And the scenic spot you mentioned with a higher ticket price, with a landscape and momentum, may give you a unique feeling in visual impact and play experience. But it cannot belittle other scenic spots with historical and cultural features because of its good. History and culture are the roots of a country and a nation. These scenic spots play a vital role in inheriting and promoting culture.
Just like the charm of girls can have various forms of expression, the beauty of scenic spots is also different. There are those who attract people with history and culture, those who win with natural scenery, and those who are famous for their unique experience. We should appreciate and feel the charm of different types of scenic spots with an open mind, rather than one-sided comparison and belittlement. Each scenic spot has its own value and significance, and can bring different gains and touches to tourists.

Yulin 3-Day 2-Night Travel Guide | Local's Guide is Awesome
| Local's Guide is Awesome. Yulin 3-Day 2-Night Travel Guide | Local's Guide is Awesome❗️
Sorry, as a travel blogger and a Yulin 'native,' my guide is late! 🧎♀️
⭕️Attractions⭕️
1⃣️ Shizi Street: In recent years, Yulin has been focusing on cultural tourism, transforming this once dirty and messy night market street into a trendy check-in spot (it changes frequently, so feel free to add pictures). However, for delicious snacks, go to Meilin Street or the night market on Gongyuan Road.
2⃣️ Jiuqu Alley: A renovated old residential alley, and the new Miniso store (a must-visit for Sanrio fans) are both located on Shizi Street.
3⃣️ Wucai Tianyuan: A 4A scenic spot. It's very large; although I've been there more than 10 times, I still can't say I've explored it all. Each season brings new surprises. If you have kids, you can take the small train around the park.
4⃣️ Shuijie and Xiaoxizang: Both are near Wucai Tianyuan. Xiaoxizang is purely for checking in, and the road is hard to find, so it's optional.
5⃣️ Darong Mountain: 1.5 hours drive from Yulin city. It has mountains, water, and clouds, giving you a wild feeling in nature! I recommend staying one night at a hotel halfway up the mountain for a cool and oxygen-rich experience.
6⃣️ Garden Expo Park: It has some amusement facilities. I occasionally take my kids there. Next to it is Kela Bay Water World. If time is limited, these two places are not a must-visit.
7⃣️ Yuntian Palace: Since you're here, why not check out our landmark? 🙊
8⃣️ Pengdong Village: A Ming and Qing dynasty ancient village, well-restored.
⭕️Transportation⭕️
1⃣️ High-speed train 🚄: Currently, Yulin has only one train station—Yulin Station. The 'Yulin North' station is expected to open by the end of this year, reducing the travel time to Guangzhou South to just one and a half hours!
2⃣️ Airplane ✈️: Fumian Airport, 50 minutes from the city. Here, you might experience the legendary 'hundred-person send-off,' as the airport is separated from nearby villages by just a net, and locals often come to 'watch planes,' which is very cute. 🙊
3⃣️ City transportation: The city is small, so taxis 🚖 are convenient, and shared electric scooters are everywhere.
⭕️Food⭕️
👉 My regular spots:
Beef Brisket Noodles (local tip: any roadside stall with many middle-aged customers won't be bad 😭😂, no need to queue for a specific one)
Others: Pin Hao Ju, Juan Xian Fen (West Street entrance), Liang Ban Fen (near Aier Eye Hospital), Glutinous Rice (alley opposite Fu An Ju)
Wontons: Da Xiong Wontons, Biao Ge Wontons
Snacks: Rice Maggots, Sweet Tofu Pudding, Salt-baked and Marinated Delicacies (several shops from Wudengpo to the middle of Shizi Street)
Milk Tea: Feiyu Tea House, Baozhu Gong, Xiyuan Qian
👉 Good-looking and tasty spots: Qingyang Coffee, 0775 Cake, Sancang Coffee...
⭕️Accommodation⭕️
From budget to luxury, prices are generally around 100 yuan. Hotels like Jingxiang and Dongfang Wenhua, which have pools and a resort feel, start at 300-400 yuan per night.

It is known as the Little Potala Palace and has the largest copper Buddha
One city, one scene: Yuntian Cultural City
It is said that the scenic area was built by a Taiwanese boss who spent tens of billions, and all the collections inside are privately owned. I have visited many museums, but this is the first time I have seen such a large private museum.
You can feel the shock from outside the door, with the architecture being tall and exquisite. Pavilions, terraces, and towers, the Fragrance Pavilion, golden koi fish, and the clever arrangement of changing scenery with every step.
The site covers 70 acres, with a building area of 140,000 square meters, and the main building is 21 stories high, over fifty meters. Standing on the rooftop and looking down, you can see most of Yulin, and the grandeur is truly impressive. It's not just about size; a lot of effort has been put into the details as well. There are many galleries, and stone carvings, wood carvings, and bronze castings are displayed everywhere.
Rosewood and jade, with a wide variety of types and exquisite carvings. Some tables are made from
3000-year-old divine trees from Alishan in Taiwan, giving a sense of historical sedimentation, as if time is right before your eyes.
The displayed Taiwanese folk culture is also worth seeing. Traditional costumes, various handicrafts, and puppetry from glove puppetry, let you feel the charm of Taiwanese culture.
Aside from the slightly expensive ticket, the overall experience is very good~

There is a palace in the Yulin of Guangxi, which is comparable to the Potala Palace. I have been wondering why this "king palace" costing more than 2 billion will be located in Yulin, not elsewhere. Yulin was known as Yulin Prefecture in ancient times. For more than 2,000 years, it was not the place where the military contends, and there have not been any major historical events. From ancient times to now, it can be described as "peace and tranquility". It was not until I approached Yuntian Palace that I finally understood its history. The construction of
yuntiangong was not smooth at the beginning. When the foundation hit more than 30 meters, it could not be beaten anyway. The workers found that there was a huge marble under the foundation. The marble was covered with patterns, much like dragons, and like clouds in the sky, Yuntian Palace. This is how it is built on a huge marble, and hence the name Yuntian Palace, a palace built in the air. Although the foundation only played more than 30 meters, but the building standards of Yuntian Palace can still reach the earthquake of magnitude 8. In Yulin, an auspicious place where disasters are rare, Wei Ran has stood up to this day. Yuntian Palace invested a total of more than 2 billion yuan, which took five years to complete. The entire building covers an area of 4.6 hectares, the main building has 21 floors, and there are about 1,100 rooms.
Traffic reference:
Departure: Guangzhou
From Guangzhou South, take the high-speed train to Guigang, about 3 hours. Take a train from Guigang to Yulin for about 1 hour. Get off at Yuntian Temple for about 15 minutes.
Yuntian Palace fare 150 yuan
