#cablecars Jade Dragon Snow Mountain offers three cable cars: the Large Cableway (also known as the Glacier Cableway), the Middle Cableway (Maoniuping Cableway), and the Small Cableway (Yunshanping Cableway). I had the chance to ride the Glacier Cableway, which took me straight to Glacier Park at the top of Yulong Snow Mountain. This is the highest scenic spot, sitting at over 4,500 meters! The cable car station starts at 3,356 meters and climbs all the way to 4,506 meters. The ride itself is about 10 to 15 minutes long, and each cable car holds up to six people. The views are absolutely breathtaking—truly stunning. For safety reasons, the cable car only operates in good weather. At the top, you'll find a restaurant, snack store, gift shop, restrooms, and plenty of space to sit and relax. If you're in good health and don’t have any heart conditions or high blood pressure, I highly recommend taking this cable car to the top. ✅✅ Yunnan Weather and Clothing 🌈 The average weather in March is 5-20 degrees, relatively warm compared to other places 🧣 Clothing: Due to the large temperature difference between morning and evening in Yunnan, and higher temperatures during the day, you can prepare jackets, long sleeves, skirts, etc. Strategies for climbing the snow mountain 🛠️ 1. Make sure to prepare the right equipment before you go! Otherwise, you will regret it. Don't be fooled by the light clothing you see online; people often dress down briefly for photos, but in reality, it's freezing cold. 2. Precautions before climbing: Bring a fluffy hat, not a baseball cap or a duckbill cap, which are useless, don't cover the ears, and can be blown away by the wind. 3. Beauties should bring good sunscreen & moisturizer, lip balm, and a mask. Yunnan has strong ultraviolet rays and strong winds, which can be tough on the skin. Don't wait until you feel uncomfortable to start; inhaling for more than three seconds is effective. After getting off the cable car at 4500.6 meters, there is still a distance to the summit at 4680 meters, which requires climbing a staircase of more than 1800 steps with an altitude difference of 100 meters. Take a breath of oxygen every three or four steps. Climb the snow mountain slowly, rest when you feel a bit out of breath, and avoid sudden and intense movements, as this can easily cause altitude sickness. Keep a steady pace when climbing. Don't sit down immediately when resting, and especially don't squat, as it can easily lead to oxygen deficiency! It takes about 30 minutes to reach the summit, but do it according to your capacity! (Remember this!) 6. There are no shortcuts on Jade Dragon Snow Mountain!! After returning in the evening, don't go to sleep immediately, no matter how tired you are. Without a tour guide we would not have understood what was happening - This area is extremely large, mini electric cars and tour buses are used to shuttle people to different scenic areas - There were many different buses to take you to different sections, by staying with a group it ensured we got to see everything without getting on the wrong bus! - Meet new people!
