📸⛩️Hong Kong Tai Po "Yuanzhouzi Dawangye Temple" attraction recommendation ~ the former fishermen's settlement 🎣
After running at the seaside of Yuanzhouzai Park in Tai Po this morning
Then I walked to the nearby "Dawangye Temple" to have a look🤩🤩
I heard that there are many temples of the Great King in Hong Kong, scattered all over the place.
Each great prince has a different background and a different birthday.
One of them is located in Yuanzhouzai, Tai Po. The temple has a long history and was built in the middle of the Qing Dynasty.
It was a place where fishermen lived in the past, and the Great King was deeply worshipped by the fishermen in Yuanzhouzi.
They firmly believe that the deity in the stele is the "Great Lord", a patron saint.
May they be safe and sound🙏🏻😌
The temple mainly worships the Chinese god Da Wangye and his two brothers
As well as Buddha, Guanyin Bodhisattva, Queen of Heaven, God of Wealth and Narcissus 🪷🗿
The 10-day birthday celebration of the Great King begins on the sixth day of the fifth lunar month every year.
They will also set up a tent to perform a play to celebrate the birthday, which is a major event for residents on land and water in Tai Po District🎉🎊
Take a walk, cycle or play at Yuen Chau Tsai Park
You can also visit the Dawangye Temple next to the park.
Learn about the cultural history of Hong Kong’s traditional festivals 👍🏻🤓
