Xinguang Village
Xinguang Village is a traditional Chinese village located in Yuzhai Township, Pujiang County, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. It is located in the mountains of the Jinhua Mountain Range and covers an area of 5 square kilometers.
Xinguang Village is centered around a four-entry hall, with a central octagonal shape that expands outward. There are six wing rooms on the east and west sides, with a total of 78 rooms. The village is crisscrossed by two horizontal and two vertical streets, forming a large grid pattern. The village is surrounded by the Qianxi River, and at the entrance of the village is Jinyu Mountain, which resembles a goldfish swimming in the river. The head of the goldfish is at Leigongkan, where the water is about two meters deep and the fish are about two feet long. Within the village, there are still some ancient temples, such as the Xianyin Temple, the Hugu Temple, and the Guanguan Temple.
Xinguang Village is home to the 29 Jianli Youth Innovation Base. In October 2015, Yuzhai Township introduced the Pujiang Youth Maker Alliance to jointly create the Xinguang Village 29 Jianli Tourism Youth Innovation Base and the Shuangjingfang Cultural and Creative Park. The township government initially acted as an investor, providing rent-free support for three years, as well as information and communication support, and actively sought preferential policies such as tax reductions and exemptions, financing, and credit. They completed the environmental construction and the restoration of ancient buildings. Subsequently, they introduced the Maker Alliance as a third-party force for development and operation. The Maker Alliance was responsible for the planning of the Maker Base, attracting makers from Hangzhou, Yiwu, and Pujiang to open shops, guiding makers to focus on creating a software environment, and attracting makers in areas such as intangible cultural heritage, homestays, and light catering, which are suitable for families and vacations. The shops in 29 Jianli often hold events on weekends, mostly experiential activities such as DIY, dyeing competitions, and speech competitions, allowing most people to experience the joy of sharing in this environment. Through the joy of sharing, the culture of 29 Jianli is spread, attracting more people to visit Xinguang. Another place is the Shuangjingfang Cultural and Creative Art Museum, which is a place full of artistic atmosphere, with tea ceremonies, calligraphy and painting, seal carving, and cheongsams. There are no wells in Shuangjingfang, but eight small alleys form a grid pattern and a courtyard, hence the name "Shuangjingfang." Shuangjingfang is a place for poetry, writing, calligraphy, and painting, attracting many local painters from Pujiang to gather here, enhancing the cultural heritage of Xinguang. At the same time, e-commerce is developed, and an online platform is established to integrate offline experiences in the base with online consumption. As a result, Xinguang Village shines brightly.
