It is recognized as the burial site of the Qing dynasty's imperial ancestors and has been designated as a National Key Cultural Relic Protection Unit. In 2003, it was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with Zhaoling (昭陵) and Fuling (福陵) in Shenyang. Yongling is located 1 km northwest of Yongling Town, with Suzi River (苏子河) in front and Qiyun Mountain (启运山) behind. Covering an area of 10,000 square meters, it is a well-preserved ancient imperial mausoleum complex with a relatively large scale and complete structure.
