#timetotravel We spent the entire day at the Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise for my boyfriend’s birthday. The park is pretty large and includes several different areas: the Aqua Museum, Dolphin Fantasy, Umi Farm, and Fureai Lagoon. There are also some rides and several eateries around. We awed at the massive polar bear in the Aqua Museum, watched a marine mammal show and dolphin performances, and rode the Leviathan roller coaster. Definitely a fun and educational day. #japan

I managed to visit it in the year 2020 for a countdown party. I was berry surprise with their dolphins performance and the catchy songs used during their show. It was definitely interactive and brought joy to all the audience. It is located offshore on an island and trains are running to this Sea Paradise. So the transportation is easy and you can drive there too. The countdown party was fabulous with fireworks in the skies. I did not know which direction the fireworks but I was glad to watch it happen at midnight. We skipped the rides this time, but it was nice just walking by the water, grabbing a bite and soaking in the sea breeze. It’s a simple and refreshing spot to visit if you’re in or near Yokohama.

I recommend that if you have a car or rent a car, it will be more convenient than taking the train because you have to take several transfers from Tokyo. You can enter every zone of the aquarium, but if you want to join other activities such as holding hands with otters, you will have to pay extra. There are quite a few activities to do here. If you come in the summer, it will be the high season here. The least crowded period will be in the winter from November to April. I think it's a good feeling if you come with your girlfriend. #cherryblossom25 We chanced upon a bird show in Fureai Lagoon, Yokohama Sea Paradise and it was a blast! Grabbing a seat on the bleachers, the show was a blast! The show featuring Spotted Eagle owl, sporting a grumpy look and the witty Blue and Yellow Macaw among others. The entire show is in japanese, which makes us wonder "do they actually understand japanese, ne?" #fureailagoon #yokohamaseaparadise
