Review of Japanese hotels with a view of Fuji + private onsen 📍Yamadaya Hotel We booked for a little over 3,700 including 2 meals. The accommodation is a Japanese-style ryokan. The view of Fuji is very clear, both the room and the onsen. Cross the street opposite the hotel and you will see a very beautiful lake. The accommodation looks a little old, the room is clean, and the service is very good. I personally think it is worth the price. **The food is a bit small for a fat child like me. If it were an ordinary person, they might be full by 6555. I recommend buying it because the nearby shops close early. For me, I will definitely come back. Yamadaya Hotel is located on the shores of Lake Shojin, where it is not very crowded, making it a peaceful accommodation choice. The price is relatively reasonable, and it offers a one-night, two-meal service, including dinner and breakfast, both of which are served in kaiseki cuisine style, which is a very good deal. In terms of transportation, the only way to get from Kawaguchiko to Yamadaya Hotel is by the sightseeing bus (Blue Line), which runs only three times a day, at 9:35, 13:35, and 15:35. If you want to stroll around Kawaguchiko and have lunch, it is recommended to take the bus at 13:35. The journey from Kawaguchiko Station to Yamadaya Hotel takes about 40 minutes. Upon arrival, it is just the right time for check-in and to book a bathhouse experience.

Yamadaya Hotel Address: 478 Shoji, Fujikawaguchiko-cho, Minamitsuru-gun, Yamanashi Prefecture, 401-0336 Bus: Take a bus from Fujikyuko Line Kawaguchiko Station for about 35 minutes Take the bus bound for Lake Motosu/Shimobe and get off in front of Lake Shoji Yamadaya Hotel I used the private hot spring at Yamadaya Hotel, where you can soak in the hot spring while looking at Mt. Fuji! We had a friend from overseas come over and unfortunately the weather was bad, but they were happy with the hot spring! This private hot spring can be reserved 3 days before the day of use, and can be used for 50 minutes for 3,000 yen. Reservations are required! Bath towels cost 200 yen. There are no amenities. Please bring your own if you need them! If the weather is good, you can soak in the hot spring while looking at Mt. Fuji right in front of you. (Only the third photo was taken from Yamadaya Hotel's website.) Your body will feel warm and relaxed☺️ The photo of Mt. Fuji is the first sunrise seen from Lake Shoji! ~ We traveled to Fuji by private car. We went for 2 days and 1 night and stayed at Yamadaya Hotel. I personally like it very much. The photos were taken from in front of the hotel. You can walk out and see it right away. When we went, there were no people. There was only our family. We took pictures and walked around comfortably. This hotel also has a private onsen. You can use the service in rounds. You can see the view of Fuji very well. I recommend soaking in the morning. The light is irresistible. 🥺 You almost don't have to find a location to take pictures anywhere. Just walk out in front of the hotel and you're done. Most onsen in Japan with Mount Fuji view either require you to book a really expensive ryokan room or they do not allow photography as it is a public or shared onsen. 
Sharing this little gem that I have discovered earlier this year which is soooo affordable at 3000JPY for a 50 mins slot.
I shared the cost with 2 other friends, and we had so much fun! 
You can choose to stay there or visit as a day use onsen.
The ryokan is family owned so they might not be that fluent in English. I communicated with them in Japanese and they were really nice and kind.

Approximately 30 mins bus ride or drive from Kawaguchiko station 
**prior reservations by phone is required to secure a slot, walk in are not entertained** 
You can bring your own towel or rent towels from them for a very affordable fee of around 200-300 jpy.
If you are there, do try their milk ice cream sold at their gift shop corner, it was realllllyyyyy good!
