When you come to Thanon Banthat Thong, you will definitely be attracted by the long queue in front of this shop - Neung Nom Nua (Banthat Thong branch). Every time you pass by, there is a crowd of people. This creative toast shop is really popular!
This time I came early to queue up, but I still had to wait almost 45 minutes before it was my turn. But after taking the first bite, I felt: it was worth it! ! 🍞🔥
Their main dish is thick-cut toast, with a wide variety of savory and sweet options. When you cut it open, the fillings burst out directly, and the aroma is fragrant.
The style of the store is a mix of cute and hipster styles. Although there are not many seats, the turnover rate is still fast. The staff are friendly and will proactively recommend flavors to you, no wonder the business is so good!
Although you have to queue, I really recommend everyone to come and experience it. This kind of food that makes you doubt your life while waiting, but conquers your taste buds in one bite, is the most unforgettable surprise in the trip!

Bangkok | Step into a time tunnel tea house that makes you feel like you've traveled back to old Chinatown!
Strolling through Talat Noi, a neighborhood in Bangkok rich with Chinese historical charm, I stumbled upon a vintage shop house—Baan Chim Cha.
① The entrance on the first floor is adorned with tropical greenery, standing out like a lush gateway to another era amidst a row of traditional buildings.
② A giant colorful dragon head protrudes from the second floor of the wooden house, instantly catching your eye and inviting you into a parallel universe.
③ Push open the glass and wooden door, and you're greeted by cool air and vintage items, as if you've traveled back to the old days where Thai and Chinese cultures intertwined. Nostalgic menus written in a mix of Thai and Chinese hang on the walls, with Thai fonts that differ from today's style!
④ The second floor lacks air conditioning but exudes a warm, antique ambiance. After removing your shoes and heading upstairs, you'll find a nostalgic scene of Chinese and Thai lanterns intertwined, paired with wooden tables and chairs that preserve the original charm.

Bangkok|A must-try for those who love souvenirs! Big C must-buy recommendations, Chinese service + on-site tax refund is so convenient🎁🛒🇹🇭
#AprilGoodDestinations2025
You really can’t miss Big C Supermarket when you come to Bangkok! This is a paradise for tourists. There are so many tourists here. Even the cashier area has Chinese service staff, so communication is completely stress-free! This time I came here specifically to restock my stock in order to buy souvenirs for my family, but I accidentally bought too much (laughs).
Among them, the must-buy items I most recommend include: pain patches (very practical as gifts for the elders), Thai seaweed (thin, crispy, salty and fragrant, super delicious), and a bunch of local snacks and biscuits. The prices are much cheaper than at the airport, and the most important thing is that there are so many varieties that it’s dizzying! You can also get a tax refund directly on site by showing your passport and the full amount invoice. The process is fast and convenient, and it is truly tourist-friendly!

Bangkok | Cosmic-Themed Painting and a Rare Artist Encounter
This trip to Bangkok included a special stop I had been eagerly anticipating: the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). To my surprise, I stumbled upon a small art exhibition that left a lasting impression. In one corner of the exhibition, a cosmic-themed painting caught my eye and deeply moved me.
The painting depicted a tiny human figure floating in the vast universe—lonely yet free. I found myself unexpectedly emotional as I stood there, taking it all in. While I was still immersed in the artwork, a friendly artist approached us and began explaining the creative background of the piece.
He said, "I've always been fascinated by humanity's insignificance and possibilities within the universe. This painting represents my inner vision of a soul traveling through space." His gentle tone and sparkling eyes as he shared his thoughts were infectious, drawing us into his passion.
One particular line he said resonated with me: "The universe is far away, but every time you close your eyes, you can travel there." At that moment, I truly felt as though the painting had transported me to another dimension.
Having the opportunity to meet the creator face-to-face and hear him share his inspiration and ideas made the experience far more memorable than simply viewing the exhibition. BACC is not just a venue for art displays; it feels like a gateway to a universe of inspiration.

This time
This time in Bangkok, I randomly discovered a lunch restaurant called tu baan eatery, which has a very high quality. It looks low-key and hipster from the outside, but when I walked in, I found that the whole store has a very strong sense of design, just like a fashion selection store! Bangkok|Jim Thompson Museum The Secret of the Wooden House Explore the Cultural Charm of Thai Architecture
After visiting the courtyard of the Jim Thompson Museum, we returned to the starting point. In order to protect the precious wooden floor, the guide asked everyone to put their shoes in the shoe cabinet, and then started to explore the interior of this historic building from the first floor.
The floor is not big, but it has a rich collection, with many images of gods and Buddhas and statues from hundreds of years ago on display. We walked up to the second floor along the antique wooden planks, where we used to dine, filled with all kinds of Chinese porcelain and tableware.
Next, we came to the spacious living room, which was where Thompson received guests. As I walked through the living room and headed for the master bedroom, a carved wooden door caught my eye. The tour guide revealed that there was a safe hidden behind the door. Only Thompson knew the password, and it has not been opened yet, adding a bit of mystery.
During the entire visit, in addition to appreciating historical relics, you can also feel the atmosphere and stories of past life. Reasons for high recommendation:
① The traditional stilt house architecture is combined with modern exhibition design, creating a strong cultural atmosphere
② The mysterious disappearance of Jim Thompson adds interest and topic to the visit

Bangkok | See the colorful Elephant Parade in Bangkok
Walking in a corner of Bangkok, my eyes were inadvertently attracted by an orange sign, the name of the store is "Elephant Parade". The entrance is filled with various recycled parts and installation art. An elephant made of iron sheets stands on a rope reel, as if telling its story.
This is not just a souvenir shop. Each painted elephant model in Elephant Parade is handmade by an artist and has a touching story behind it.
As soon as you open the door, you will be surrounded by a group of colorful elephants! The store displays a wide variety of cute elephant dolls, each of which is a hand-painted creation by an artist. Some are full of childlike fun, some are full of cultural atmosphere, and each one is unique. These pieces are more than just souvenirs, they are a way to support elephant conservation
If you like souvenirs that have warmth and stories, this shop is definitely not to be missed!

Bangkok|It turns out that the city night view can be so beautiful! We watched it on the balcony all night and didn't want to sleep ✨
My favorite moment when traveling is returning to my hotel room, closing the door, and getting away from the hustle and bustle outside. The two of us sat together quietly, without much talk, just quietly enjoying this exclusive time that belongs to us
Bangkok at night really has an indescribable charm. The lights in the city are lit up one by one. Looking down from the high building, the whole city seems to be dotted with a sea of glittering stars.
The streets are still bustling with people, with food stalls, night markets, bars, shopping malls, and everything else, as if night is the time when Bangkok truly wakes up.
The night in this city is both noisy and romantic, modern and has a bit of chaotic charm. Staying here really makes people reluctant to sleep, and they just want to take one more look at this scenery.
In such a space, each other's company is the most beautiful gift, which makes the journey more complete and allows the soul to truly relax.
