Xitou Monster Village is located in Nantou, but it takes about 2 hours to drive from Sun Moon Lake. Monster Village is the most distinctive and unexpected place in this trip. Before I came, I didn't know such a place. 4 pm happened to catch up with the ritual activities here, very Japanese performances, this scene has always been seen only in the anime picture. The last time was about "your name" that I saw last year. I didn't have the experience I liked each other, and there weren't many girls' hearts. During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, I chose a few pet-friendly destinations and decided on Xitou Monster Village in Nantou. We arrived around 1 PM. There’s a parking lot near the entrance, and plenty of roadside parking spots available. Admission is free, no tickets required! The park is filled with Japanese-style elements. At the entrance, there’s a giant red Japanese lantern 🏮, and next to it, a wall of Tsukasa sake lanterns, which is super cool. Inside the park, you’ll find Japanese-style buildings, lanterns 🏮, shrines ⛩️, and a variety of monsters 👺. Even the performers seem to be intentionally dressed like ninjas, adding to the atmosphere. The park also offers a variety of food options! Handmade tapioca pearls for 65 TWD, three types of vegetables for 100 TWD, vegetarian minced meat rice for 50 TWD, fried king oyster mushrooms for 50 TWD, and soft-serve ice cream 🍦 for 60 TWD. The prices are quite reasonable, and the portions are generous, leaving you satisfied. Most importantly, the food is delicious! For a tourist spot, it definitely deserves a thumbs up 👍. We set off from Taipei at around 8:00 am, and after resting and having lunch at two service parks, we arrived at our destination, the Monster Forest Hotel, at around 1:00 pm. Before checking in, we went to the Xitou Nature Education Park, which is a 5-minute walk from the hotel, to enjoy nature. The room we stayed in was large and clean. The view and decoration of the small shop were very close to the atmosphere of the theme hotel.
