[2025 Xinchang Stay] Travel Guide for Xinchang Ma Fanglanshan Homestay (Updated Mar)

⛰️The Anshan Ancient Trail is gradually disappearing. One of its entrances, Xiaoquanxi Village, is currently being relocated. For your safety, we do not recommend entering the trail from Xiaoquanxi Village. You can start your hike from Jianguo Village or Anshan Village. Anshan Village is located at a medium altitude, while Jianguo Village is at a high altitude. Therefore, starting from Anshan Village offers a gentler slope and convenient parking and dining options. 🏡Mafanglanshan Homestay is located in Pingqiao Village, 5 km from Anshan Village. It has 7 rooms, named after "firewood, rice, oil, salt, soy sauce, vinegar, and tea." The rooms mainly feature tatami mats, making them suitable for families with children and young people. The courtyard is designed in Tang Dynasty style, and Tang-style bathrobes are provided in the rooms, perfect for photos.

🏘️ Room type/layout: The homestay was converted from a former primary school, with 7 rooms named after tea, rice, oil, salt, soy sauce, and vinegar. Each room has its own characteristics. 🧹 Soundproofing/hygiene: The homestay is very clean, so much so that you can't help but change your shoes. 🏕️ Nearby attractions: Waipo Keng Village, Anshan Ancient Road, Chanyan Shijiufeng, Shanhaijing, and Dafosi Temple. Three days and nights are not enough to explore them all. 💗 Other tips: The temperature difference between morning and evening in the mountains is large, so it's best to wear two layers of clothing.
