Historic buildings

Located in Xijiashan, Jiang'an County, Yibin, Xijiashan Residence was first built in the 40th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty and expanded in the Qing Dynasty. It has a construction area of 10,056 square meters. The entire building has a rigorous layout, clear priorities, orderly opening and closing, and is magnificent. The ancient residence has deep courtyards and high walls, flying eaves and black tiles, towering ancient trees, and beautiful scenery. It is a well-preserved ancient residence in southern Sichuan that is rare in China. There are a large number of camphor trees distributed around the residence, and tens of thousands of egrets, a national second-level protected animal, live in groups, forming a rare "natural egret park" in my country. The whole residence has more than 100 houses, with the main hall as the center, and 18 courtyards of different sizes. The layout of the Xiajiashan residence is exquisite, the doors and windows are beautifully carved, and the ancient trees are shady around the residence. The local people have now used the hall in the residence to set up a folk museum, which reproduces a series of folk customs in the history of marriage, funerals, farming and reading in southern Sichuan.
