I found a great niche ancient town in Kaili.

Xiashi Ancient Town is only a dozen kilometers from Kaili South Railway Station. The town is home to ethnic minorities such as the Miao and Mulam people. The architecture is unique, combining elements of Jiangnan courtyards, Hui-style architecture, Minnan architecture, and Western architecture. The town is relatively niche, so it is not crowded during the National Day holiday. The scenic area is free to enter and is quite large. The town is full of history, and the commercial atmosphere is just right, making it very comfortable. Here, you can taste local snacks, buy souvenirs, dress in ethnic costumes, and experience the local lifestyle. I bought some beautiful postcards and fridge magnets at the Wangwang Theme Post Office! The prices here are much lower than in Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village. The same fridge magnet is CNY 30 cheaper!

We toured the most beautiful ancient city in China—Zhenyuan Ancient City, the largest Dong village in the country—Zhaoxing Dong Village, and the largest Miao village in the country—Qianhu Miao Village. We went drifting in Shibing, experienced intangible cultural heritage in Danzhai, drank high mountain flowing water in Leishan, and felt the Dragon God marrying off his sister in Liping. Xiashi Ancient Town is a national 4A-level tourist attraction and a provincial scenic spot in Guizhou Province. It is located upstream of the Qingshui River, in the southwestern part of Kaili City, bordering Majiang County to the west, connected to Yatang Street of Kaili City to the east, Xingshan Town of Majiang County to the west, Xuanwei Town of Majiang County to the south, and Fuyuan City to the north. It spans between 107°42'3"—53'9"E and 26°26'29"—34'3"N. Named 'Xiashi' because it was the administrative seat of Pingding during the Ming and Qing dynasties and is located downstream of Pingding, it has been praised as 'Culturally-enriched Xiashi, naturally crafted landscapes'. The total area of the town is 154 square kilometers, including a total arable land area of 22,100 mu; the population is 50,000 people (with a permanent population of 35,000), mostly inhabited by minority ethnic groups such as the Miao and Mulao. Xiashi Ancient Town is also known as 'Little Shanghai', and has been called the 'Pearl on the Qingshui River'. It is the national canoeing demonstration base, the hometown of Chinese red garlic, the hometown of zinc and selenium rice, and the hometown of the world-famous Xiashi dog, among others.

The average price of ice powder is between 💰10-15. The ancient town is not far from Kaili city center, a half-hour drive, and we went to the city for dinner to eat beef rolling. The white sour soup base is appetizing and warms the body, with an average of two bowls of white sour soup per person. The beef dipped in secret chili water is tender, spicy, and delicious, spicy yet irresistible. 🌟Immersion: At Lusheng Square, we encountered a wedding at Xiafu, where tourists and locals sang and danced together, while the old men by the square were contentedly chatting with bird cages in hand. Xiashi Ancient Town is situated in Kaili City, Guizhou Province, nestled on the banks of the Qingshui River. This ancient town has a long history that dates back to the Ming Dynasty. 🌟 Highlights: As an important commercial port in the southeastern region of Guizhou, Xiashi Ancient Town was once the economic, cultural, and transportation center of southeastern Guizhou. The town's architecture is unique and quaint, resembling a vivid ink painting! 🗓 Itinerary: 1. Drum Tower: This is a common sight in Dong villages, and surprisingly, there's such a structure at Kaili South Station! It's usually used for meetings and dancing, and the dome is quite beautiful! You can take photos from different angles! 2. Xizi Tower: A place where scholars in ancient times used to burn paper, with a small inverted U-shaped door for placing the paper! 3. Yangming Academy: The most rewarding part of the trip! The entire academy interprets the life of Wang Yangming from birth to death in five stages of 'realization'. His ups and downs, changes in thought, personality, hobbies, and character are vividly depicted on paper, truly dynamic! 4. Conscience Bridge The bridge surface is more complex and grand. Xiasi Ancient Town by the water is really beautiful

The lesser-known scenic spot in Kaili, Guiyang, is Xiasi Ancient Town. After thinking with friends for several days, we finally chose to travel to the cool Guizhou. We set off from Chongqing to Shuanghe Valley for a day, and then drove to Kaili for four hours to Xiasi Ancient Town. Xiasi Ancient Town has been a commercial town since ancient times. The hot summer is suitable for coming to the small town with water town style to cool down. When you enter Xiasi Ancient Town, you can see small boats swaying on the clear river, which is a prosperous scene in the south of the Yangtze River, very comfortable! Xiasi Ancient Town has not been overly commercialized yet. Except for the main street being commercial, the side streets are still quite life-like. You can see the slow life of the town residents everywhere. Walking in the ancient town, you can see the Miao drum tower, stilted buildings, Yuwang Mansion, and women's college have retained a lot of old buildings, and the Sichuan and Yunnan guild hall, Guangdong guild hall also witnessed the commercial status of the year. The old pavilions and buildings from the Republic of China period have a style of Chinese and Western fusion.
