In the afternoon, I visited the Jewish Quarter and took in the rich history of the synagogues and the Old Jewish Cemetery. Wenceslas Square is one of the main city squares, centre of business and cultural communities in the new town of Prague. It is around 9 minutes 700 meters away from Prague main train station. The top part of the square is dominated by the neo-renaissance building of the National Museum that was founded in 1818. The length of the square is around 700 meters lined with plenty of restaurants, cafes, hotels, shops, etc. The square is also a place where all seasonal markets take place, such as Christmas, Easter and.. You'll find stands, kiosks and the odd food truck around. They primarily sell sausages, chips, roasted meat and a type of cake on the stick called trdelnik, you can eat it originally, or put some Nutella or ice cream on it. It is one of the most popular places to eat in Prague, and try typical Czech cuisine.
