Upon entering Weishan Ancient City, the majestic ancient city walls are the first to catch my eye. The walls, made of blue bricks, have withstood the test of time and remain as sturdy as ever. Above the walls, the arrow towers stand tall, seemingly narrating the city's glory and vicissitudes. As I stroll along the walls, each step feels like treading on historical traces, experiencing the weight of history. Passing through the city gate, I enter the heart of the ancient city. The streets here are narrow and winding, flanked by buildings of varying heights. The blue bricks, black tiles, wooden doors, and stone steps exude an air of simplicity and elegance. Observing these buildings closely, I notice that most retain the style of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Whether it's the upturned eaves of the roofs or the carved patterns on the walls, they all brim with cultural richness. In the ancient city, I come across an old temple—the Confucian Temple. It is the birthplace of the ancient Nanzhao Kingdom and has a history of over 600 years. It is now a national historical and cultural city. On our way from Xishuangbanna to Dali's Chicken Foot Mountain, we passed by Weishan, so we went to visit the ancient town. Weishan Ancient Town has 24 streets and 18 alleys, with a clear layout and crisscrossing streets, preserving the chessboard-style architectural pattern and style of the Ming and Qing dynasties. We strolled in the ancient town, exploring ancient buildings such as city towers, temples, academies, and guild halls. Coincidentally, we encountered a local food festival. People from all directions came to the ancient town, and the streets were bustling with crowds, making it extraordinarily lively. Since the local residents still live in the ancient town, Weishan Ancient Town is also known as the 'living ancient town'.
