Wei Wu Mi Mi Cun Address:
No. 6號, Shangyong Rd, Lingya District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan 802
Kaohsiung attractions! Weiwu Mimi Village is the largest and highest painted village in Taiwan and the first large-scale mural community in Taiwan.
It is a very special community. Almost every wall is painted, with themes and different styles.
There are some snack vendors in the community selling super cheap and quite delicious food, and the ladies are very enthusiastic!
You can visit Weiwu Mimi Village casually, or you can search according to the 10 major themes of the treasure hunt map. However, because it is in the alley of a community, you must pay attention to the principle of not disturbing neighbors.
How to get there?
Address: Xingli Street and Shangyong Road (surrounding area), Weiburi, Lingya District, Kaohsiung City
You can take the Kaohsiung MRT and go to Weiwuying Station Exit 5.
It’s very convenient to arrive right out of the station

Traveling with Me ~ Kaohsiung Wall Art
A short trip to Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
I came to Maymei Village, a group of wall art housing complexes that I had always wanted to visit.
It's a popular tourist spot for Koreans, but not many Japanese people.
Even now, there are residents in this housing complex, and they live their lives normally.
It's a wonderful wall art that is part of everyday life in Kaohsiung.
It's right next to the station, so even first-time visitors won't get lost and it's an easy location to visit.
And the paintings with various motifs on the walls of the housing complex are very impressive.
I had time to catch the high-speed rail on my way back, so I wandered around the housing complex for about an hour.
There were few tourists in the morning, so it was good for taking photos.

Kaohsiung Outdoor Library - Weiwuying Painted Community
Kaohsiung has really done a good job of improving its appearance in recent years, especially building many tourist attractions to give tourists a variety of choices. For example, the painted community near the National Center for the Performing Arts in Weiwuying has invited domestic and foreign artists to create art on the walls of the building, beautifying the community and creating new tourist attractions. I highly recommend that friends who come to Kaohsiung must come and take a look👍

Take the KMRT Orange Line and get off at Weiwuying Station, Exit 5.

【Kaohsiung】がアート in the street! Weiwuying Painted Community
We will introduce you to a recommended spot in Kaohsiung where the whole town is filled with art, which you will not find anywhere else♪
《Weiwu Maze Village/Weiwuying Painted Community》
💞Reasons why we recommend it:
There is large wall art in the town!
Wall art can be found in many places around the world, but it is rare to see something this large.
Compare the size with people😄
In addition to wall art, the buildings around this area are also part of the art.
The International Street Art Festival is also held, with various artists participating.
A total of 135 murals are said to be painted.
It is a wonderful art space, so please come and visit🍀

Weiwu Mi Mi Village
Aunt Aom complained... Weiwu Mi Mi Village ep 1 Read the review that it is a village with beautiful murals on the buildings. It is beautiful, the colors are bright and beautiful, as big as the size of the buildings. It is very enjoyable to take pictures. Take the MRT Orange Line KMRT and get off at Weiwuying Station (O10), Exit 5, turn right and you will see a large mural. This picture is just outside the village. I will continue in ep2. The inside of the village is very beautiful. #Get a discount without relying on luck #taiwantravel #kaohsiung #beautiful photo spots #travel alone #must-see photography enthusiasts #weiwuying

This is a popular photo spot where artists from various countries have painted colorful pictures on the walls of local houses.
You can visit 24 hours a day, but since this is a residential area, you need to be mindful of the privacy of local residents.
While walking, there are different designs, and although I wasn't able to see them all, it seems better to look at them from a distance.
This area was originally an old housing complex where retired soldiers lived, but it has suddenly become a street art town since the Kaohsiung Lingya International Street Art Festival was held in 2016.

Taiwan’s Attitude Towards Art——MiMi Village in Weiwuying, Kaohsiung
#2024TravelReview
"Weiwu Mimi Village" is located in Lingya District, Kaohsiung City. It is the first large-scale art mural community in Taiwan. It was originally just an ordinary old community. From 2016 to 2021, a total of more than 50 outstanding artists from 24 countries and regions were invited to create, with as many as 135 painted wall murals~
The murals include various antelopes 🦌 (homonym of Lingya District), the underwater world 🐠, and the super funny Wangxiang Funong 🐶 (Figure 2). If you come to Kaohsiung Citywalk, you might as well check in here, it's very cute~
📍Address: No. 6, Shangyong Road, Lingya District, Kaohsiung City 802 (about 10 minutes walk from the exit of MRT Weiwuying Station)

The architectural paintings are amazing, and the details are very delicate and beautiful. This is like an old community. The overall atmosphere is both retro and avant-garde. It is very charming community art.

The artsy city, Kaohsiung Taiwan
#fallishere Come explore this artsy part of the city where street arts are abundant on the buildings of this small village called WeiWu MiMi Village.
Getting There - Recommended to take the MRT to WeiWuYing Station and alight from entrance 4 or 5. Once you exit the station, you cannot miss the library painting building (cover photo)
Attractions - Street art photography
Food & Restaurants - Local residential snack store which sells Taiwanese sausages, rice cake and fried fish cake
Bonus recommendaton - Take a 10 minutes taxi ride from the place to 原龍羊肉海產-一心路總店, a restaurant specializing in lamb pot. What a unique find as it is similar to the famous Bak Kut Teh that you can find in Malaysia or Singapore. It is essentially a herbal soup which you can find lamb meat inside. The taste is not that sweet and it is very very fragrant. You can order the lamb hotpot as well as the famous lamb risotto and lamb vermicelli. A true local favorite and you will certainly not be disappointed.
Also, one of the best night markets in Taiwan is nearby here, RuiFeng Night Market which you can visit as well.

Weiwu Mimi Village: A complete guide to the painted community map! Created by world-class artists, a popular Instagram check-in landmark.
Located at Weiwuying Station in Kaohsiung City, the entire village is filled with rainbow paintings, and every floor and pavilion is filled with artistic bubbles. It is truly a feast for the eyes and has attracted visitors from all over the world!
Painting artists from all over the world and local artists in Taiwan have used the entire Weiwu Mimi Village community building as a painting board. The city aquarium, 3D forest secrets, coral antelopes, jellyfish and monkeys... Everywhere is full of childlike fun and colorful scenes. The huge paintings are very interesting, and new works will be presented from time to time. The whole style is very different from other painted villages that like to use cartoons as the theme. It really makes people feel like visiting an art gallery.
Weiwu Mimi Village is just opposite the Weiwuying National Center for the Arts. It is easily accessible via Exit 5 of the Kaohsiung MRT Weiwuying Station.

Painted Community Mimi Village
Concrete walls look old and dull with the passage of time. This is a scene that can be seen everywhere in every corner of cities across Taiwan. However, it is quite different in Lingya District, Kaohsiung City. In recent years, old buildings have been given colorful new clothes and look vibrant. They not only attract people from all over the world to this largest art mural community in Taiwan for treasure hunt and pilgrimage, but also appear in international publications.

Weiwu Mimi Village is a 3-minute walk from Exit 5 of Weiwuying MRT Station. It was originally just an old community, but since the 2016 Kaohsiung Lingya International Street Art Festival, artists have created large-scale wall paintings and street installation art, and the community has been transformed into a beautiful community that is worth a visit. 😍😍😍😍
