Getting there - Yosemite is a national park in USA that is about four to five hour of driving from San Francisco, California, USA. There are four main entrances to Yosemite, depends where you come from. Also during peak season which is summer time, you will need to make reservations to enter to the park. Yosemite is without a doubt the most stunning place I’ve ever been, and I still can’t believe I did it! It’s always been a screensaver on my laptop, but getting to soak in Yosemite Valley in person is something I’ll never forget. It’s quite deep into the park and it can get busy so we headed there as soon as we could, there are days where you need a reservation to entry but we were lucky! Also you might need tyre chains if it’s heavy snow so be prepared! There are quite a few view points along the way but they can get busy / dangerous with people double parking. So wait for the two official view points as there is ample parking and places to sit down and take everything in. Bridalveil falls is one of the many natural wonders of Yosemite National park and one of the first you will encounter when you enter. It’s something you really have to see to believe, the waterfall is so strong and pumps so much water you can hear it from a distance. There are a few car parks at the base of the falls and there are trails leading to the viewing platform, one of the trails is wheelchair accessible and is also great for kids or the elderly. As you head to the falls you can see all the little streams that run off from the main drop pool, and the different formations in the rock caused by millions of years of erosion. As you get closer the spray and the noise is incredible, if you go on a windy day you can see the spray almost dance as it falls when the wind changes its pace or direction.
