#Places to visit near Bangkok
A temple named "Wat Yan Ang Thong" that is not in Ang Thong province
This temple is very close, Ayutthaya is just here
A temple that I found by accident (again)
When I arrived, I didn't see anyone, it was very quiet
I felt a connection, I can't explain it, this bend in the river is suspiciously familiar
I started walking around to see the very beautiful and very old Chaturamuk temple
Since the reign of King Rama III of the Rattanakosin era
Established in 2367
There is a church with a closed door, inside there is Luang Por Phrom Lok
The wall has very old paintings
It is assumed that the Front Palace probably sent royal craftsmen to build it
The church is surrounded by a glass wall. Inside is the principal Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture, cast from gold mixed with bronze in Sukhothai or northern style. The gable of the ordination hall has carvings of Narayana and Indra. The monks' sala was given the palace of the Front Palace to be planted as a sanctuary. Paintings in the temple
The old name is Wat Chulalok, located on the bend of the Mae Nam Noi River, which is shady and peaceful. There are old people telling stories about this place. In the past, the villagers were selling jars, water basins, and the Mon made pots to put in boats. Then when they rowed a boat and saw what looked like a golden basin in front of Wat Chulalok, so they changed the name to #Wat Yan Ang Thong.
Which is not just the front because when walking in, I met an uncle who told me to come in first. Inside,
I must say, it is very beautiful. For those who like to look at antiques like Min, it is dazzling. There is a textile museum with the most Buddha statues in the posture of calming the ocean that I have ever seen in my life. There are so many antiques. I will continue in another post. 😀
Note: The uncle also said that some people who live in Ayutthaya have never been here, and some who have been to the temple many times have never been inside. They do not know that there is another inside.

Wat Yan Ang Thong, Phak Hai District, Ayutthaya
Wat Yan Ang Thong, originally named Wat Chulalok, was established in 1824 and received the royal charter of the boundary of the temple in 1827. It was probably renovated during the reign of King Nangklao. It is a temple that Kings from the reigns of Rama III to VI traveled by boat to Wat Yan Ang Thong. The origin of the temple's name is that the Mon people brought pots and boats to sell and saw a large golden basin floating in the water and then sinking, so they called this bend of the river "Yan Ang Thong".
The chapel is surrounded by a glass wall. Inside is the principal Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya attitude, cast from gold and bronze in the Sukhothai or northern style. The gable of the chapel has sculptures of Narayana and Indra. The sala and monks' quarters were donated from the palaces of the Front Palace members to be built as monastic residences. The paintings in the chapel are a mix of Thai styles.
