The Mon people pour water on the Buddha through bamboo channels that are lined up for more than 50 meters. These bamboo channels are made from bamboo that is split in half lengthwise and tied together to form a waterway. Each channel has branches that spread out to help people who come to the event pour water on the Buddha thoroughly. The water from each channel will flow to the main channel to the monks who are sitting waiting to be poured water behind the flower screen. This is another tradition during Songkran that is filled with faith among the Thai-Mon people.
