Place: Wat Tham Suea, Tiger Cave Temple, worship Buddha, Kanchanaburi
Atmosphere: It is one of the most beautiful temples in Thailand. The large Buddha statue is beautiful. The view of the mountain is beautiful. Looking from above the temple, it is like walking up to the temple and seeing the large Buddha statue. The beautiful view is worth the tiredness. Take a high angle photo, go up to the Buddha hall, and see the view from above. It is even more beautiful. But it is quite tiring. Stop by to pay homage.

Iconic Tiger Cave Temple in Kanchanaburi 🇹🇭
#thailandtrip
📍Wat Tham Suea, Kanchanaburi, Thailand
Visited the most iconic Buddhist temple in Kanchanaburi, which is Wat Tham Suea, also known as Tiger Cave Temple. The temple was built atop of the mountain, in the middle of paddy fields. We parked our car at the car park and hiked up to the top. The flight of stairs was so steep and pretty challenging, and hiking almost the hot summer weather in Thailand makes it even more challenging. The architectures was very impressive with vibrant colours! The view at the top of the temple was absolutely stunning and breathtaking. The ambiance was peaceful and serene, offering landscape views of paddy fields from above! No fee is charged, just donations. Would recommend!

It is known for its views surrounded by rice fields and houses a large Buddha statue, Luang Por Chin Prathanphon. Beautiful Thai temple with massive Buddha.
Gorgeous structure with a pyramid like tower and pagoda. You can climb up the spiral staircase inside the tower with each level has paintings with Thai history. the top level was also beautiful with benjarong saucers decorated on the wall/roof. the view from the top is beautiful with panoramic view of the rice field with the mountains in the background.
Fascinating temple, very well maintained. The giant Buddha statue is breathtaking, and the view of the surrounding rice fields is beautiful as well. Be prepared to climb 150 steps to the top, or take a ride in the rickety tram. If you go into the chedi on the left and climb to the top, you can get a good bird's eye view of the statue and fields.#kanchanaburi #thaiand #temple

Most people go to Kanchanaburi because they want to see the Erawan Waterfall but this Tiger Cave Temple is a must go place if you happen to be in Kanchanaburi or Bangkok for longer. By Car it takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes from Bangkok and only 20 minutes from Kanchanaburi.
On the Way there are many other beautiful temples and dragons, so i definitely recommend to rent a scooter or a car. This temple is free of charge and opens until 5 pm. I took my drone out to take this amazing pictures from different angles

Tiger Cave Temple, Kanchanaburi
Wat Tham Suea is located in Tha Muang District, Kanchanaburi Province. The most striking thing for tourists who come to visit the temple to pay homage to the chedi is its large size. It is the largest Buddha statue in the blessing posture in Kanchanaburi Province. There is also the Chedi Kesa Kaew Prasat, which is a brick-colored chedi divided into several levels, up to the top level. It is the place where the Buddha's relics brought from India are enshrined. After you have seen everything, go down to enter Tham Suea, a small cave on the foot of the mountain below.
I recommend you to visit the temple. The beauty of both the temple itself and the surrounding nature is equally beautiful.

Tiger Cave Temple
I feel very peaceful when I come up here. Especially if we have time to walk around the temple and see the view around, I must say that the atmosphere is very good. But don't come during the day, it might be too hot. If you come in the morning or evening, it would be better. When I came here in the evening, almost 6 pm, the weather was very good....
The stairs may be a bit high, but it's not too tiring.
If you come to Kanchanaburi, don't forget to stop by. ...........

99% of Hong Kong people don’t know about Thailand’s niche Kanchanaburi Tiger Cave Temple.
Thailand🇹🇭Tiger Cave Temple in Kanchanaburi Province is known as one of the ten most beautiful temples in Thailand. It is also a niche tourist destination that many Hong Kong people are unaware of. It is said that in the past, ascetics practiced here and were protected by tigers. The monks built a small temple next to the tiger's den. Later, believers raised funds and the large temple was built today. The recommended walking route is up left and right down. The steps on the left are two long dragons. Follow the dragon's head and climb up the steps. The Tiger Cave Temple is not very big, so you can sit here to enjoy the wind and experience the different scenery.
☑️What to watch
■Big Buddha: The 18-meter golden Buddha is inlaid with golden mosaic tiles on the surface and backed by a cone-shaped golden light shield. This is the largest promised Buddha statue in Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand.
■Tall Tower: Right next to the Big Buddha, take off your shoes and enter. There are countless corridors on the first floor, which are very photogenic. Going up the stairs to the top of the building, there are murals painted on each floor. I don't know much about them. They are probably about the history of Thailand, portraits of kings, and stories about gods and Buddhas. At the top is a pagoda, which is said to enshrine the relics of the Buddha. When I went there, there were monks chanting sutras on the top floor.
Don’t forget, there is a window on the side that offers a panoramic view of the entire temple and the Big Buddha.
■Karst cave: There is a natural cave at the bottom of the mountain. The tiger god is worshiped inside, so it is also called Tiger Cave Temple. There are monks sitting inside the cave. You can come and pray for peace. You can be given a bracelet and donate 20 baht.
The tigers enshrined in the Tiger Cave are like the pioneer tigers in Journey to the West.
■Coffee: Behind the temple is a rice field, the most famous of which is Ananda Cafe, an Internet celebrity cafe, which is really great! It is recommended to go!
☑️Transportation
It is about 17 kilometers from the city to the temple. Renting a car for a round trip costs about 500 baht a day. If you rent a motorcycle, the price is 300 baht. A deposit of 200 baht and a passport photo are required.
‼ ️It is recommended to ride a motorcycle, which takes about 1 hour. The schedule is more flexible. No.

The stunning Wat Tham Sua is a must-visit in Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand
🐯 Wat Tham Sua in Kanchanaburi Province is one of the ten most beautiful temples in Thailand, located about 17 kilometers from the city of Kanchanaburi (Kanjanaburi). It is not the same as the once-famous and controversial Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua Yannasampanno in Kanchanaburi, nor is it the Tiger Cave Temple in Krabi!
🙏 Legend has it that ascetics used to practice here and were protected by tigers, so a small temple was built next to the tiger cave. Over time, with donations from followers, the temple gradually became the magnificent sight it is today. The most striking feature of the Tiger Cave Temple is the 18-meter-tall golden Buddha, backed by a conical aureole that makes the Buddha's radiance appear even more lifelike. Buddhists and tourists from all over the world queue up to offer incense and pray for blessings.
👍 Special recommendations:
1⃣ The high tower next to the big Buddha can be climbed, and choosing the right floor height allows for a bird's-eye view of the temple and the big Buddha from the windows, comparable to aerial photography effects;
2⃣ The stairs of the temple, the square, and the arches inside the pagoda are all great spots for photography, always yielding beautiful shots;
3⃣ Behind the temple, there is a rice field with several distinctive cafes. Using the temple as a backdrop against the rice fields can result in very beautiful photos. However, if the rice fields have been harvested, the scenery will be less impressive, and it is not recommended to go there specifically for photography.
🏍️ Transportation:
It is recommended to rent a motorcycle for self-driving if you can ride one. Along the way, you can enjoy many beautiful views and conveniently stop to take photos. The rental fee is usually 200 Thai Baht per day, with a deposit of 1000 Thai Baht + identification documents.
📍 Temple address:
Muang Chum, Tha Muang District, Kanchanaburi 71110
⏲️ Opening hours: 08:00 - 17:00
💰 Admission fee: Free, with a donation box for voluntary contributions
🤗 Other suggestions:
There is a giant tree about ten kilometers from the Tiger Cave Temple, which has now developed into a park market. Friends who like lively places can take a detour to visit.

Wat Tham Sua & Meena Cafe in Northern Thailand
Don't forget to take a break at Meena Cafe behind Wat Tham Sua when you come to Northern Thailand. The first picture shows the location behind the big Buddha of Wat Tham Sua and the second picture shows the cafe in the distance.
The rural scenery of Thailand is truly rural, where culture and nature blend seamlessly, like a painting surpassing a painting.
The food prices are also ok, three dishes and two drinks for ¥110, and the taste is not bad.

🐯Wat Tham Suea
Wat Tham Suea is located in Tambon Tha Muang Chum, Amphoe Tha Muang, Kanchanaburi Province, before entering Kanchanaburi city. It is a golden temple in the middle of a rice field, contrasting with the green🌱 of the rice field, looking very majestic. The highlight of Wat Tham Suea is
🌕A large Buddha statue in the blessing posture, decorated with gold mosaics all over the Buddha image. When it reflects sunlight, it sparkles a lot.
🌕A Thai-style octagonal chapel that is beautifully intricate.
🌕Chedi Kesa Kaew Maha Prasat, an octagonal chedi with a total of 9 floors. In the middle, there is a spiral staircase that you can walk up to the top floor. Each floor has paintings about Buddhism and the king. The top floor is where the relics of the Lord Buddha were brought from India. Between the floors, you can come out to see the view of the rice fields, feel the cool breeze, see the Mae Klong River, mountains, and Wat Tham Khao Noi. Which are next to each other 🌬️
🐍 Three Naga stairs, 158 steps each Biologirl almost fainted, but it was so much fun. But if anyone can't walk, the temple has a tram service for only 10 baht per person. But it's a bit steep.
There's also a tiger cave that you can go in and see. But unfortunately, Biologirl didn't go in. Next time, don't miss it.
🛍️ There are a lot of food and souvenirs for sale at the bottom of the temple.
