Historic buildings

Songda Temple is located on Suthep Road, west of the ancient city of Chiang Mai. It was built in the 14th century and was the location of the garden of the Lanna Dynasty monarchs at that time, so it is also known as the "Garden Temple". The whole temple covers a vast area and the building is very majestic. The roof of the main hall is three-story, and the golden Buddha statues in Thailand are enshrined with a history of more than 500 years. It is also home to the religious university in northern Thailand. On the way to Doi Suthep, you will definitely notice the white and conspicuous gate of Songda Temple. It's a good choice to return to after visiting Doi Suthep. Compared with the temples in the ancient city, there are fewer tourists here, and the scenery is particularly charming when the sun goes down, which can be described as a favorite of photography enthusiasts. The white Tallinn is eye-catching. Walking into Songda Temple, a spacious lawn comes into view. On the west side of the lawn, there is a white Tallinn, standing quietly under the blue sky and white clouds. If you go forward and observe carefully, you will find that the architectural techniques of each tower are different, showing the flow of architectural styles in different periods. There is a huge golden stupa in Tallinn, which is said to contain the bone altar of the King of Thailand. In addition, there is a tower of ashes of an eminent monk, because he is a tiger, so the tower is surrounded by eight tiger statues. If you arrive here at noon, the sunlight reflected by the White Tower will be quite dazzling. However, the environment of the temple is quiet, and there is a breeze from time to time.
