Wat Sri Suphan otherwise known as the Silver Temple or Silver Hall is located south of the old city in Chiang Mai and is conveniently nestled just off the Wua Lai road on Soi 3 about half way down. It is easily accessed on foot of via scooter. My wife and I visited this temple/attraction after speaking to other travellers who raved about it. As a temple it is quite unique due to the intricately crafted silver and aluminium sheets which have been beaten and moulded to depict numerous scenes and locations and used to decorate the temple. Please note that any visitors are required to wear long trousers and also be aware that women are not allowed to enter the temple itself but can walk around the grounds.
