Worship at Wat Sri Pan Ton
Wat Sri Pan Ton is located on Chao Fa Road, Nai Wiang Subdistrict, Mueang Nan District, Nan Province, in the southwest of Nan Municipality. It was built by Phraya Pan Ton, the ruler of Nan of the Phuka Dynasty (ruled Nan from 1960 to 1969). The name of the temple is the same as the name of its creator, Phraya Pan Ton. In some eras, it was called Wat Salee Pan Ton (the word Salee means Bodhi tree). In the past, there were large Bodhi trees to the north and south of the temple. However, they have been cut down to make way for a road. Wat Sri Pan Ton received the royal charter of the boundary markers in 1962. Inside the temple, there is a beautiful chapel, which stands out in a majestic gold color. It is another temple in Nan Province with beautiful stucco paintings, especially the seven-headed Naga guarding the stairs in front of the temple chapel. It is a dazzling golden color, very beautiful and lively. Which was sculpted by a Nan craftsman named Mr. Anurak Somsak or "Salangrong" and inside the temple, there are line drawings of the history of the Lord Buddha and the history of the birth of Nan by Nan craftsmen. The pictures are drawn in natural colors, beautiful and very valuable.
This place was also the residence of Luang Pu Kru Chantha, the former abbot of Wat Si Phan Ton, who was a monk who practiced well and correctly. He had the knowledge to treat patients by blowing spells, chanting holy water, and using local herbs to treat very effectively, especially bone diseases and inflammation from abscesses. Throughout Luang Pu Kru Ba Chantha's life, he kindly went to treat patients in the hospital. It should be another place worth paying respects to and visiting. It is very beautiful and golden. #Travel #Visit the temple #Visit Nan
