Wat Sam Phran Wat Sam Phran is located in Tambon Sam Phran, Amphoe Sam Phran. Its highlight is that it is a temple with a tall building and a dragon sculpture wrapped around the building, which is more than 17 floors high. On top is a viewpoint. There are both elevators and a slope up by walking inside the dragon's body. I personally think it's quite unseen, but the price should be clearly stated because when walking into the building, the nuns will think that we are foreigners and will charge 80 baht (entrance fee). We quickly told the Thai people, but the foreigners standing behind us didn't understand why we didn't pay. We were confused for a long time until we put money in the donation box. The Dragon Temple (Wat Sampran), also known as Sampran Dragon Temple, is located about 40km west of Bangkok, Thailand. The temple has a total of 17 floors and is wrapped by a huge hollow blue dragon, which looks very domineering and mysterious. It is reported that the history of the temple's construction is still a mystery, and some records indicate that the temple only accepts 108 monks, and many devout people come to worship every day. I found that there are many female monks here, and although the dragon temple is very domineering, it seems that only ladies can enter for a visit. This time, with the visa-free city walk in Thailand, my wish finally came true! 📍Wat Sam Phran, also known as the Thai Dragon Temple, is located in Sam Phran District, on the western outskirts of Bangkok. We took a taxi from Khao San Road and it cost about 500 Thai baht, taking about 40 minutes. 👔Dress code: Try not to dress too revealingly. Shoes need to be removed before entering the temple. 💰Entrance fee: There is no entrance fee, but at the wish-making area, you will be asked to make a donation and write your wish. There are also several other donation points inside, so it's recommended to have some change with you. Apart from the wish-making area and the donation at the top, I didn't donate anywhere else (because I didn't have any change left 😂). 🌟The Dragon Temple is actually a nunnery with pink walls and a dragon winding its way up. Wat Sam Prang, with its super unique appearance of a dragon wrapped around the temple, was built in 1985. Its English name is Dragon Temple. At the entrance to the temple, you can see the feet and claws of a giant dragon. It is 48 meters high, equivalent to 17 stories, and looks like a huge object. To reach the top, you walk around inside the dragon. It is quite hard to climb 17 stories on your own, but the 360° view from the top is amazing. At the top, there is a small Buddha statue and, for some reason, a Japanese flag🇯🇵, which gives you a sense of intimacy. To get down, you go down inside the dragon you came from, but it is a very steep slope, so you have to be careful. Wat Sam Prang is a bit of a theme park, with a large Buddha, Tathagata statues, and animal objects, so you can enjoy a lot. It is 40 km away from the center of Bangkok, there is no transportation, and it costs about 170 baht one way by taxi from Lakson Station, the last stop on the BTS Silom Line. It's a typical temple, but it's a place that makes you want to take lots of photos. 😮 You can't just look at the tower from the outside, you can go up to the top! ✨Hey guys, sharing my one-day trip to Nakhon Pathom🎈. 🎈It took about 1.5 hrs to drive from Bangkok, with THB 180 in tolls🐷. 🎈My main goal was to get a Sak Yant tattoo, so I didn't plan the route too much😜. These places are about 30 mins apart by car, and all have parking lots. 🎈First stop: Wat Bang Phra (Luang Phor Pern Temple)🎊. I went there for the Sak Yant tattoo😏, worried about long queues. It's a popular spot for locals. As a solo female traveler, it was a bit awkward😅, but I stuck to the motto, "If I'm not embarrassed, then everyone else should be"😎. If you don't care about celebrity endorsements, I highly recommend this place. The prices are reasonable, and they have all the necessary rituals😃. I'll share photos of the final result once it's healed😜. 🎈Second stop: Wat Sam Phran (The Dragon Temple)🎊. It's the legendary pink building with a dragon wrapped around it, truly spectacular🎉. Find a good angle, a drone would be even better for photos. The entrance fee to the top is THB 80🐷. You can walk or take the elevator. The walk isn't stairs, but a ramp. I walked up (≈5 min) and took the elevator down😁. 🎈Third stop: Phra Pathom Chedi🎊. The entrance fee is THB 60🐷. If you just want to take photos of the architecture and the Chedi without entering to worship, you don't need a ticket. You can walk to the base of the Chedi. The ticket is required for entering and worshipping. You can come in the evening, take photos during the day, then capture the sunset and night view😎, and then grab some food at the night market😜. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great, so the sunset photos weren't ideal😔. 🎈Fourth stop: Central Nakhon Pathom🎊. It's very close to Phra Pathom Chedi, just 2.5 km. I soaked up the New Year atmosphere, did some shopping, and bought a few new clothes. Gotta have that new year, new clothes vibe😁. I discovered that parking here is free😎. 🎈After shopping, I went back to Phra Pathom Chedi, took some night photos, and strolled through the night market, where I ate a bit too much😅.
