Around 2341, Major Phraya Surendraratchasena (Phueng Singhaseni) allocated some land, approximately 48 rai, to build a temple. He held a ceremony to lay the temple's cornerstone on Tuesday, the 8th waxing moon of the 6th month, R.S. 101. He then submitted a letter to His Majesty King Rama V to make merit and received the royal charter on Wednesday, the 1st waning moon of the 11th month, R.S. 2431.
This temple has a floating market where you can walk around and see the products. The products are expensive. It is a community market where the locals come to sell their products themselves. We can walk around and relax. The interesting thing is the large Luang Pu Thuat statue that you can see prominently before entering the temple. There are also beautiful wall paintings and a chapel where you can walk under the base to eat.
