Wat Phra That Doi Wao
Located on the top of Doi Wao, it is a temple that enshrines Phra That Doi Wao. You can see the scenery on both sides of Thailand and Myanmar. The atmosphere of the temple is purple.
Inside the temple area, there is a chapel and a place to enshrine various sacred objects, which are purple, contrasting beautifully with the golden Phra That. Some people like to call it the "Purple Temple". There is a statue of an elephant scorpion, the symbol of the temple, and a Sky Walk, a viewpoint that costs a fee. Glass bridge at Phra That Doi Wao, Mae Sai District
The glass bridge on Doi Wao Temple at night is very beautiful.
The weather is cool on January 5, 2024.
The weather is a little cold at night.
The view is very beautiful. I recommend that those who travel to Mae Sai must go up to see the view on Doi Wao Temple. If anyone doesn't go up here, it's considered that you haven't come to Mae Sai.
Doi Wao Temple is located in Mae Sai District, near the Burmese border checkpoint.
Mae Sai-Tha Khi Lek border is the most crowded with tourists.
Doi Wao Market is also the largest wholesale market in Mae Sai.
We took my husband and sister to visit.

Top of the hill
Chiangmai is famous for its temples and coffee shops, relaxed way of life and hiking trails, this temple is at the top of the mountain and it's a good opportunity to rent a bike and drive around..
The road is easy and well maintained, many people like to go up walking or jogging, I'm too lazy so just took a scooter there.
The place is beautiful and also free, the staff if friendly and helpful, there is some shops at the entrance and some of them even have durian ice cream 🤤
Definitely a must go on your next trip to Chiangmai

Beautiful temple near Mae Sai checkpoint
Wat Phra That Doi Wao is located on a hill. The Ubosot is beautiful in the Lanna style. The chedi garden is not large. It is located on the top of the hill. You have to walk up the Naga stairs. Behind the chedi there is a viewpoint. You can see the houses of the Burmese people. This is another highlight of the temple. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the Mae Sai checkpoint to the temple. There are shops along the way. It is recommended to buy some drinks because you have to walk quite a bit.
