Rent a Buddha image at Wat Phra That Khao Noi
Wat Phra That Khao Noi is located on Khao Noi, Phu Phiang District, in the west of Nan Province. It is a brick and mortar pagoda, beautifully decorated in a blend of Burmese and Lanna styles. It is believed to have been built at the same time as Phra That Chae Haeng.
After we finished praying, we rented a Buddha image for my father. Unfortunately, the Phra Phuttha Maha Udom Mongkhon Nantaburi Si Mueang Nan on the cement yard was under renovation, so we didn’t take a picture. #Wat Phra That Chae Haeng

Phra That Chae Haeng Temple
History - According to the Nan Chronicles, Phraya Kankarn, the Lord of Nan, invited the relics of the Lord Buddha from Sukhothai to be enshrined at Doi Phu Phiang Chae Haeng. According to legend, the Lord Buddha came to bathe on the bank of the Nan River at Ban Huai Kai. Phraya Monrat brought the fruit of the myrobalan tree as an offering, but it was very dry. The Lord Buddha soaked the fruit in water before eating it and prophesied that someone would bring the relics here to be enshrined. Therefore, the stupa enshrining the relics is called Phra That Chae Haeng.

Phra That Chae Haeng Temple
📍Address: Wat Phra That Chae Haeng
A famous temple in Nan Province. You can't miss it. I come to Nan very often, but I rarely have the chance to visit this famous temple. When I saw it with my own eyes, I was very impressed by its beauty. Next time I come back, I will buy some dog and cat food to donate because the cats here are cute and there are a lot of them. They are also tame. #VisitNan

Phra That Chae Haeng, a strange name, has an interesting history and origins, and is also a royal temple. Anyone who has the opportunity must come and pay homage. The Phra That is very large.
It is easy to travel. Parking is convenient. The temple grounds are full. You can park at the back, which seems to be a monk's hut or a place for monks and novices to study. Here, you will walk to the bathroom, which is convenient. The inside of the temple is spacious. You can walk around and see. It is shady and cool in the winter morning.

Wat Phra That Chae Haeng, the Pagoda for the Year of the Rabbit
Another historical site of the Lanna city, it is believed that visiting and paying respects to the Phra That Chae Haeng, or what the Lanna people call 'raising the pagoda,' will bring strong blessings, leading to a good life, happiness, and freedom from various diseases. Work life will also prosper. Moreover, Phra That Chae Haeng is also the pagoda for those born in the Year of the Rabbit.
Inside Wat Phra That Chae Haeng, there are many interesting things, such as the grand vihara, a white pagoda with Burmese art that is a replica for worship, and the two Naga staircases in front of the entrance to the holy pagoda, from which you can see a very wide view of Nan city.

Nan: A small town that you won't want to leave once you come.
At first, in order to find the temple that guards the rabbits, I learned about Nan. We rented a car from Chiang Mai and drove for six or seven hours before finally arriving. The scenery along the way was stunning, with towering mountains and ancient Nan River guarding the area as we headed north, almost reaching the border with Laos.

Highlights:
Nan's highest mountain range has a large golden Buddha standing on top, overlooking a whole small city. It is very spectacular to come here for photography and sightseeing. Nan has a long history and was not fully incorporated into the territory of the Kingdom of Thailand until 1931, becoming a province. So its museum is also worth a visit. Personally, I think the most worth visiting is the temple that guards the zodiac rabbit. It is very large and magnificent. At night, you can also go to the night market on the main street of the city, where there is food and clothing, and it is very lively.
🕒🕒🌿
Best season for sightseeing:
From October to March of the following year.
🏠🏠
Suggested play time:
2-3 days. The small town is not big, except for the scenic spots on the mountain which are relatively far away, everything else is very close. It's very comfortable to take a leisurely stroll.
😂😂
bugs:
Here, people basically don't speak English. If you want to travel here independently, you must learn some Thai, otherwise there will be problems with eating and staying in hotels.
