It is a treasure trove of a destination, made up of several small alleys that converge into a large open space. Located in the old town of Bangkok, the market is home to many Chinese residents, and many of the stalls have been passed down from generation to generation, offering traditional flavors that can't be found elsewhere! Today, Nang Loeng Market is no longer focused on selling fresh produce, but is more like a food center, similar to the food courts and hawker centers in Malaysia and Singapore. There is a wide variety of Thai and Chinese food, main courses, desserts, and drinks, all at affordable prices. It's a great place to explore, and you can have breakfast and lunch here. I personally recommend coming here in the morning when the food is freshest, so you can start your day with a full stomach. 🍕Recommended Snacks Nanta Thai Desserts: Thai steamed desserts with different flavors such as pumpkin, coconut, and banana. Today, we will introduce a beautiful and sacred temple, one of the famous temples in Bangkok. It is easily accessible by taking the MRT or subway to the National Museum Station and then walking for another 2-3 minutes to reach the temple. Inside the temple, there are famous architectural structures such as the Reclining Buddha. However, in this post, we will take you to see the marble stupa and the principal Buddha image in the meditation posture, which is magnificent and worthy of reverence. Additionally, there is the Buddha image in the Naga Prok posture, which is suitable for those born on Saturday. We highly recommend visiting this temple. Nearby, there are Wat Phra Kaew and the City Pillar Shrine, which are must-visit places when traveling to Bangkok.

Wat Pho is a famous temple in Bangkok, renowned for its spectacular reclining Buddha statue. Entry to the temple requires a ticket costing 300 THB. ❕ When visiting, you must remove your shoes as a basic etiquette for entering the temple. ❕ Since there is no air conditioning inside the temple, only fans, it is recommended to avoid the high-temperature period around noon to ensure a better visiting experience. 🌟 Temple Scenery The reclining Buddha statue is 46 meters long, dazzling in gold, and truly breathtaking. This is my Nth time visiting Bangkok. I am no longer keen on checking in at the crowded places. Instead, I prefer to visit the Rattanakosin area in the old city. The street markets separated by a wall from the Grand Palace and the Reclining Buddha Temple, the arcade food and old Southeast Asian dreams of Silom Krung Road, and the winding Chao Phraya River, half of which is Buddhism and half is worldly affairs. Grand Palace/Wat Pho Bangkok's landmark, crowded with tourists. There are Thai Khon opera performances at the Grand Palace and a massage school at the Wat Pho. These two places are niche attractions in popular scenic spots and are worth experiencing. There are also many river view restaurants and dessert cafes nearby, which are perfect for daydreaming and waiting for the sunset lights of Wat Arun. 📍Address: Na Phra Lan Rd, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok Museum of Siam/Flower Market What is Thailand? The Siam Museum can tell you the answer. The interactive museum next to the Reclining Buddha Temple is lively and interesting. It vividly displays Thai cuisine, education and daily life. The Pakong Flower Market, across the street from the museum, is a paradise of tropical flowers. The flower arrangements and garlands are also very beautiful. The romantic daily life of the old town is all here. 📍Address: Sanam Chai Rd, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok Wat Suthat/Big Swing Not far from the Grand Palace, but with far fewer tourists. Wat Suthat is the first Thai-style temple in the center of the old city. The exquisite murals from the reigns of Rama I and II are worth seeing. The big swing is known as the "Stairway to Heaven". There are many temples and delicious food nearby. From Jinshan Temple, you can see the whole picture of the old city. The Longlian Temple, Bogong Temple and Guangdong Guild Hall, all built in the Chaoshan architectural style, embody the spiritual beliefs of the older Chinese and their expectations for the future. The century-old shops under the arcades have lost their prosperity, but their stories remain. Shillongjun Road is also a food gathering area in the old city. You can find Chinese rice noodle soup, pork bone porridge mixed with satay meat skewers and curry noodles, as well as a century-old herbal tea shop and traditional cendol to cool off and quench your thirst. 📍Address: Chakkrawat, Samphanthawong, Bangkok Talat Noi The local neighborhoods along the Chao Phraya River offer a glimpse into the true life of Bangkok. The narrow alleys here are winding, graffiti-lined, and nostalgic and avant-garde are intertwined. Baan Rim Naam Taladnoi has an excellent view of the sunset. The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, a century-old Baroque building, also bears witness to the exchanges between China and the West. We arrived the temple at 9am morning, luckily it was uncrowded. We had spent around 2 hours there, I'm really impressed by its magnificent architecture, intricate details and serene atmosphere, also making it a perfect place for history and architerural enthusiasts. The massive Reclining Buddha with intricate golden features is the highlight of the temple. There are many monuments and small statues too. Apart of that, beside the temple has traditional Thai massage services and with affordable price. ⏩ This is a religious place, proper dress code required. ▶Wat Pho is open everyday from 8am - 7.30pm. ▶Admission fee: THB 300 per entry. 🚉 Getting there: The easiest way to go to the temple is via MRT(Blue Line), just buy a ticket to Sanam Chai Station and use exit no. 1, from there walk to the temple directly in 5 min. 📍Location: 2 Sanam Chai Rd, Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand.
