Phra Phutt
Phra Phutthabat temple was built in 1624 (B.E. 2168) by King Songtham of Ayutthaya, after a hunter named Pram Bun found a large depression in the stone, resembling a huge footprint, near Suwan Banpot Hill or Satchaphanthakhiri Hill. The hunter reported his find to the king, who ordered workers to build a temporary mondop to cover the footprint; this later became the temple.
This temple is a place of worship for the people of Saraburi and Thai people. Anyone who is interested in history should visit at least once and will be impressed.

Footprints of the Lord Buddha, thousands of years old
#Visit historical sites It was built in 2167 during the reign of King Songtham of Ayutthaya because the footprint of the Lord Buddha was discovered on the ground above the shoulder of Suwannabanphot Mountain. The footprint is 21 inches wide, 60 inches long, and 11 inches deep. King Songtham saw that it was a footprint according to 108 characteristics, so he ordered the construction of a temple and a temporary pavilion to cover the footprint of the Lord Buddha. Later, there were many more additions in the past. The current appearance of the pavilion is a square building with a 7-tiered castle-like spire covered with green glazed tiles. There are niches on every tier. There are twelve-cornered columns and gold leaf and glass all around the walls. The doors of the pavilion are superb works of art decorated with mother-of-pearl in Thailand. The floor is covered with woven silver mats. The way up to the pavilion is a staircase of three naga lanes, meaning the silver staircase, the gold staircase, and the glass staircase. The five-headed naga at the foot of the stairs are cast in bronze. Around the pavilion are rows of bells hanging. The surrounding Ubosot and temples were built in the style of Ayutthaya and early Rattanakosin periods. In addition, on the first waning day of the eighth lunar month (around July) of every year, the flower alms-giving ceremony is held. In the morning, alms are given to monks with cooked rice at Wat Phra Phutthabat Ratcha Wora Maha Wihan, and in the afternoon, flower alms-giving is held. The most popular flower used in the alms-giving ceremony is the Khao Phansa flower. According to the belief and method of worship of ancient people, if you come to pay homage to the Buddha's footprint 7 times, you will be reborn in heaven. Even in this life, the merit will bring success and fulfillment to your life in every way. Wat Phra Phutthabat Ratcha Wora Maha Wihan

#Flying with trip #Visit Thai temples #Wat Phra Phutthabat Saraburi
Today is a very big day. There are many large parking lots. If you are lucky, you will be able to park near the temple. There are also many souvenir shops in the temple area, which is convenient for those who like to visit.
Inside the temple, there is also a shrine for Thai-Chinese people. If you are crazy, you have to walk up a bit. There is a pavilion covering it. On the day I went, there were many people who came to pay homage and apply gold leaf.
When we finished walking around the temple, we can walk up to the top of the mountain. On top, there is a Buddha image and we can walk around to see the reclining Buddha in the cave.
The path up the mountain is quite rough. I recommend bringing sneakers and walking carefully. If you make a mistake, you might fall off the mountain.

This is a beautiful and magnificent temple because there are many Buddha statues here that are tall and magnificent. When you go in, people like us look small. The unseen thing about this temple is the dozens of lava stone Buddha statues surrounding it in a circle. It looks very impressive.
In addition to being a beautiful temple, the biggest activity of Wat Tham Krabok is helping drug and alcohol addicts.
