Everyone likes to go to the temple to pray for the New Year. If it is in the temple tour of Chiang Mai, the most touching and the most I like, it must be the Buddha statue in the courtyard of the Taoist Temple. As we all know, the Buddha is under the Bodhi tree. Sitting down, this scene must be achieved, and a narrow river reflects the reflection of the Buddha. Chiang Mai is full of lotus flowers. Isn't it the mirror flower? On the Ratchadamnern Rd, the main road of the ancient city of Chiang Mai, there are jewels, and these various jewels are the temples of Chiang Mai.

Wat Phan Tao, Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai is a very attractive city for tourists because it offers a variety of attractions. Today, we will focus on cultural tourism. One of the highlights of Chiang Mai is its temples. In the heart of the city, there are many temples, and we will visit one that is both beautiful and unique, providing a peaceful experience. This is 'Wat Phan Tao,' also known as Wat Pantao. The unique feature of this temple is its ordination hall, which is entirely made of teak wood in the Lanna architectural style. It stands out beautifully and catches the eye of passersby on the street in front of the temple. Visitors can admire its beauty, pay respects, make merit, or simply sit and find peace. It is one of the temples that will leave you feeling very relaxed after your visit.

Must not miss during Loi Krathong
#songkran2024
The Wat Phan Tao is one of the oldest temples of Chiang Mai found in the walled centre of the city and it is carved from teak wood and had been previously part of the royal palace. Wan Phan Tao ceremony during Loi Krathong is a must not miss event because there will be hundreds of lanterns are displayed all around Wat Phan Tao and at night, the gardens filled with candles for a religious ceremony where the novice monks meditate in front of the Buddha statue. The ceremony usually starts at 7pm but please be there early if you wanted to get a front seat and take a nice picture as it would be crowded later. The ceremony is mesmerizing.

The unique temples of Chiang Mai's old city - Wat Phan Tao
🌟 Temple Introduction:
Wat Phan Tao (Wat Phan Tao) has a history of over 280 years. 'Phan Tao' means a thousand furnaces, as this place was once a Buddha casting site. The temple houses an ancient and exquisite wooden hall, also known as the Teak Wood Temple. This hall, built entirely of teak wood and in pure Lanna architectural style, is a gem of a building in Chiang Mai. Such wooden structures are rare to find preserved until today. The temple displays ancient temple bells, ceramic products, and Buddhist scriptures, all worthy of careful appreciation.
✨ Wat Phan Tao Features:
✅ Although the temple is not very large, Wat Phan Tao's status is one of the most revered temples in Chiang Mai. Compared to other uniformly styled buildings, the wooden construction may not be as splendid, but this simple and ancient historical sense makes Wat Phan Tao a special existence,
✅ During the Loy Krathong festival, Wat Phan Tao holds grand blessing ceremonies. Monks light candles, chant scriptures, release water lanterns and sky lanterns, creating a magnificent scene. At night, Wat Phan Tao becomes the most beautiful temple in Chiang Mai.
✅ Inside the hall, there are eight famous 'weekday Buddhas', each governing one day, with Wednesday divided into two Buddhas for day and night. You can find the Buddha corresponding to the day of the week of your birthday to pray for blessings.
🎫 Ticket Information:
Free admission, open from 08:00-17:00, the tour takes about 30 minutes.

In November 2018, the Chiang Mai Water Lantern Festival
Time: The nights of November 22nd and 23rd, 2018.
Location: In the temples, Nawana Bridge, and by the Mae Ping River.
1. After watching the water lantern festival parade for a while, in a temple near Tapei Road, I saw monks helping tourists light Kongming lanterns.
2. After watching the candle blessing ceremony at Pando Temple, I arrived at Nawana Bridge.
3. By the Mae Ping River, releasing water lanterns.
How many tens of thousands of people must be on that Nawana Bridge!
It feels like all the tourists in the world are here for the Water Lantern Festival.
There is no shock of thousands of people releasing sky lanterns together here.
But it's more natural, more pure, more authentic.
I saw -
Pairs of hands, pushing together.
Pairs of eyes, full of anticipation.
Lanterns, drifting away slowly.
When I saw countless Kongming lanterns rising slowly,
When the night of Chiang Mai was illuminated by Kongming lanterns,
When these brilliant colors bloomed in the sky of Chiang Mai,
I saw wishes,
I saw hope,
I saw happiness,
I saw warmth,
In everyone's eyes, faces, smiles.
I came to the Mae Ping River and bought a water lantern.
The water lantern is decorated with incense candles and fresh flowers,
And colorful paper utensils, as a tribute to Buddha.
This is the most beautiful time of the Water Lantern Festival.
On the water surface, there are twinkling stars and flickering candle lights.
Illuminating the thick and indissoluble tenderness.
The traditional festival of the Water Lantern Festival,
Has been drifting along the river for more than 700 years.
I squeezed through the dense crowd to the river.
The rainy season is over, the water is high, the boat is high, the flowers are good, the moon is round.
The water lanterns are drifting, drifting on the river, drifting to the distance.
On this romantic and beautiful day,
We are here, we are together.
Let the memory, be sealed in this moment.
Let this scene, become eternal.

[Chiang Mai] Wat Phan Tao Temple. A temple with a beautiful night view.
Wat Phan Tao Temple in Chiang Mai City.
There are so many temples in the city that each one is a memory, but this temple is unique and memorable. I happened to walk by in the evening and went in, and the lights and colorful cloths on the trees were so beautiful.
I recommend you visit this temple in the evening to see it and take pictures.
That's why I uploaded the representative photo of this post as a photo of the lights rather than the golden pagoda.

The Hope Road Temple, known as the Blessing of the Holy Land, is also known as the Teak Temple. It is a temple diagonally opposite the Great Buddhist Temple. There is a huge and ancient teak hall in the temple. The pure Lanna-style design, with more than 280 years of history, is one of the few wooden buildings in the world. It is another nameless treasure in Chiang Mai. The wooden architecture always gives a feeling of elegance and dignity, and it also makes people feel more cordial.
Thai Phan Tao means "1000 stoves", because it used to be a Buddhist temple, and it was named after the Buddha statue for the first temple. Compared to other magnificent temples, the Temple of Hope is particularly simple and elegant. The shape of the large brothel is quite impressive. The carved stucco decoration doors and windows, antique, and the Bayeux scriptures of 200 years ago and the teak cabinets that collect the ancient scriptures are worthy of careful appreciation.
The first thing that caught the eye of the Hope Road Temple was the teak palace of the quaint mulberry. In fact, the temples I have in mind are never brilliant, but they should have both a sense of weight and a sense of history. If they are not high, they can also rely on Buddhist believers to rely on them. Compared with other golden temple buildings, the Hope Road Temple is a lot of low-key, but it is worth a long time.
Take the shoes out of the temple as usual, and there are many small Buddha statues in the hall. The quiet atmosphere makes people unable to make a sound. One flower, one world, one leaf and one bodhi; the quiet atmosphere of Pandao Temple can make people who have lived for a long time feel a lot.
The landscape fish in the pond is swimming around the circle, and we have been staying at the pond for a long time. Under the red umbrella, the Buddha bells hang in a row under the shade of green; although I don't know the meaning, I think this vulgar seems to be very pleasing.

The Hope Road Temple is located opposite the Big Stupa Temple and has a history of more than 280 years, because it used to be a Buddhist temple. The temple hall is made entirely of teak wood and is very beautiful. It displays the ancient temple clocks, ceramics and Buddhist scriptures, all worthy of careful appreciation. There are eight famous "weekly Buddhas" in the temple. Each Buddha masters one day, and Wednesday is divided into two days, day and night. Find the corresponding Buddha and pray for blessing according to the week of your birthday. Every year in November, the Lantern Festival, the Hope Road Temple also has a grand blessing ceremony, the monks will chanting, lighting the candlestick, releasing the water lamp, and placing the sky lanterns. The scene is spectacular.

Phan Tao means 1000 stoves, because it used to be a Buddhist temple, and it was named for the important temples to cast Buddha statues.
The walls of the Hope Road Temple are crimson, and each wall column has a white kneeling portrait or a small tower on the top, which is very striking on the street.
Out of the hall, to the back of the courtyard, you can see a man-made river, sitting on the sand in the back of a golden Buddha, showing the Buddha's way to become a Buddha under the Bodhi tree, very special. In addition, there are some old buildings such as boudoirs and pagodas in the temple.
When the Water Lantern Festival is held every November, the Taoist Temple will hold a ceremony. At that time, the courtyard will be filled with water lanterns and sky lanterns, which are particularly beautiful under the night sky. Pandao Temple's lighting activities are generally from 19
