Wat Khun Chan temple or Wat Waramartaya Punthasatharam is just closed to Wat Paknam (Tallest Buddha of Bangkok), you have to cross a small river on a cute bridge. It’s like 5 minutes walk. At Wat Khun Chan temple you have many many colourful statues, Buddhas but also some animals form statues. It’s very calm, not very famous yet, it’s a local temple, so if you want to really discover Bangkok, you will have to go have a look! #temples #buddha #bangkok

Surprising statues of Wat Khun Chan
This absolutely amazing temple is located in Bangkok next to a huge Buddha statue. The name of this temple is Wat Khun Chan and the most interesting thing that is next to this temple is very strange and funny bright figures.
Here you can see incredible animals from Thai culture, strange people whose body is split in half and many other strange but very interesting details. I recommend to visit!

Next to Watergate Temple, Thailand’s civilian temple-Khun Cha Temple
At the river next to the Water Gate Temple, walk over the water bridge and you will see another smaller golden Buddha and other special statues of gods and Buddhas. This is Wat khun Chan Kun Cha Temple!
Walking into the temple premises, it feels completely different from Shuimen Temple, it is very quiet, almost no tourists, the people walking by are mainly local residents and students!
The Buddha statues and temples here have rich colors, there are a variety of different Buddha statues enshrined, Buddha statue appearance and face are more exaggerated If you visit the Water Gate Temple, it is recommended to come and stroll, there will be a different feeling oh!

#celebratewithtrip
This is a great tempe to visit on a day trip to the well known temple Wat Pak Nam. It is very easy to get there. You can take the mass rapid transportation network to the station called Bang Pai and walk from there about 12 minutes. Otherwise you can also get there with the skytrain but you have to walk about 17 minutes. This temples offers many beautiful buildings and temples to walk in and allows you to get a feeling for the culture. There are many monks that are happy to talk to you and meditate. Make sure to be quite and not disturbing. The most famous part is the big golden buddah that you can see#tripblazers

riverside Buddha statue
#celebratewithtrip this is such a beautiful waterside temple with grand Buddha statue on elephants! In comparison to the famous temple next to this one, wat Kuhn chan is a lot quieter and calmer. Yet, this temple is really beautiful, there are lots of enormous statues and different types of building inside of this temple complex. it is really nice to walk around and chill by the riverside. it is also free of charge. we found by accident, and it is a great way to explore the way of local living, since it’s a remote area in Bangkok! and it’s not really popular among tourist, so I recommend everyone to pay for a visit next time

Wat Nawalan
Wat Noen Chan, an old temple over 175 years old, is located at 43 Moo 12, Bueng Kum District, Bangkok. Wat Noen Chan was originally called Wat Song Phi Nong because two siblings donated money to build the temple. They built the temple around 1846. Later, around 1880, the temple was moved across the canal to its current location, which was given to Khun Jongjai Rangap Phan (Chan), the headman of Khlong Kum Subdistrict, and Mrs. Jongjai Rangap Phan (Nuan). Therefore, the temple was named "Wat Noen Chan" after the names of the two people. It is considered a clean, quiet, and shady temple. Currently, it is considered a temple where people come to make merit, worship Buddha, make offerings to monks, make annual Kathin offerings, pay homage to sacred objects, release fish, and chant prayers to welcome the new year. 📍 https://goo.gl/maps/UCEiP5YVg5f9CdpFA

Make a wish at Wat Khun Chan.
🏡Wat Khun Chan was built around 1837 by Phra Ya Maha Amatya Thibodi (Pom Amatyakul) and was named Wat Khun Chan because the founder had won a battle in Vientiane. Later, his youngest daughter renovated it, and in 1883, King Rama V granted it the name Wat Woramatya Phatsansaram.
The important and interesting features within the temple are as follows:
The temple's art combines Thai Buddhist and Burmese styles.
🏠Viharn Luang Pho To and Viharn Luang Pho Yok Khao, completed in 2002.
🏠Viharn Chao Mae Kuan Im Phet Ngam.
🙏🏽Reclining Buddha and Phra Buddha Chinnarat.

Wat Khun C
Wat Khun Chan
This temple is considered an ancient temple that has been on the Thonburi side and Talat Phlu area for more than a hundred years. It was built around 1827-1837 during the reign of King Rama III, approximately 177 years old, by Phraya Maha Amatayathibodi (Pom Amatayakul). At that time, it was named “Wat Khun Chan” because the builder of this temple was victorious from Vientiane. Then, during the reign of King Rama V, it was renovated and renamed by King Rama V, “Wat Waramatyaphanthasararam”.
Most of the architecture of Wat Khun Chan is a beautiful blend of Thai and Burmese art. There are many sacred objects to worship, such as Luang Pho To, Luang Pho Yok Khao, Kuan Im Petch Ngam, the reclining Buddha, Phra Buddha Chinnarat, etc. But the most outstanding thing is probably Phra Rahu.
This is because there is a ceremony to ward off bad luck for the unlucky year and to worship Phra Rahu. There is a ceremony to chant the Navagraha Rahu prayer every year. It can be said that it is one of the famous temples on the list related to Phra Rahu. Anyone who wants to pay homage to Phra Rahu or ward off bad luck or bad luck must travel to Wat Khun Chan.
