Wat Huay Pla Kang, Chiang Rai Province.
Wat Huay Pla Kang is home to the largest statue of Guan Yin in Chiang Rai.
Additionally, there is the Phop Chok Pagoda and a very beautiful white temple.
The white temple is completely white, both inside and out. It's truly stunning.
The pagoda features various forms of Guan Yin statues. Initially, I thought it was just an ordinary temple or a museum, but once inside, I was amazed. There are also many ways to make merit, such as donating land or rice, etc.
Anyone who is into making merit should not miss this place. But you can also just go for the view. 👍🏻

This temple is less well-known than the famous White Temple, but no less beautiful 🤍
Construction of the temple began in 2001, on the site of an old, poorly preserved temple.
This temple complex is dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy, Guan Yin, whose name means 'one who hears all the sufferings in the world.' She is most often depicted as a woman in white robes.
For 40 baht, you can take an elevator to the top and admire the outside world through the eyes of the Goddess 😍
🕖 Open every day from 7:00 to 21:00
💵 Entrance fee is free
‼️PRO TIP: The light is most beautiful at sunrise and sunset, and it is also less crowded 🔥
Also, don't forget to cover your shoulders and knees (this also applies to men) and take off your shoes before entering.

The Long Poo is well know in Chiang Rai
This is one of the well known temple where the Long Poo contributed a lot of love, time and well fare to the people at Chiang rai, and also call a Lucky long poo.. he first built the temple followed by a hospital that look like a ship.. I could said I’m lucky to get to see him when I arrived the temple, initially, I am curious a big groups of people waiting outside a small room, I asked one of the staffs where can I see a monk, I want to do some Tamboon which is also known as contributing to the monks and the death from a poor families, he directed me to the small room, I have mentioned above.. people is like lining up for buying a limited edition hello kitty or waiting for Cristiano Ronaldo signature.. hence, i decided to wait. When come to near my turn and I’m the only foreigner, I could see him not in the rush to reply and bless the netizens. Come to my turn, I don’t know how to speak Thai, I used google translate to support me, without talking much, the long poo ordered one of his help to bring what I needed and I am called to wait outside for a while, I thought I said something unpleasant.. mins later I was given a white envelope and a monk saris and re queues for my turn.. when is my turn, I was shocked that he know how to speak English and prayed a prayer and blessed me, by saying what u did is right and want me to keep contributing to the needy. After see him, I went to google and found out that he also contributed a lot of things to the society in Chiang rai.. and he age is not young already, but he don’t look at his age.. in addition, this temple become one of the must go places in Chiang rai as it have a beautiful structure which took a very long time to planned and constructed by this Long Poo.
I think if u planned to go to Chiang Rai, I will advise u to rent a car to drive a round rather than just book a tour and bring u to places that they(drivers) can earned benefits from. On the trip, I used the trip.com apps to support me to plan my route at Chiang rai.. I also went to Blue and white temples as well as the hot spring wells.. I still recommended this iconic temples to give u a peace and fulfilment after returning to your country.. u will never regret for going..#Wat Huay p#Wat Huay pla Kang, white temple and blue temple..

Huai Plakang Temple, Chiang Rai
#Wat Huai Plakang The highlight of this temple is the "Phop Chok Tham Chedi", a uniquely shaped, pointed shape that combines Chinese and Lanna art. The red roof has dragon statues stretching along both sides of the stairs. Inside the chedi are Buddha images and various arhats, as well as a large statue of Guan Yin carved from fragrant sandalwood, a large white statue of Guan Yin, and a beautiful white church with magnificent stucco patterns. The reason the 9-story chedi is called Phop Chok Tham Chedi is because Wat Huai Plakang has been an abandoned temple since ancient times. The exact history of its construction is unknown. Later, Phra Ajahn Phop Chok Tissawangso renovated and built many permanent structures, making it the center of Chiang Rai's people once again. Next to Phop Chok Chedi is the white Ubosot with a naga staircase leading up. The largest statue of Guan Yin in Thailand is approximately 79 meters high, equivalent to a 25-26-story building. It stands on a hill and looks majestic. It is believed that anyone who comes to pray for health, finances, or work will receive that blessing. On the way up to pay homage to Guan Yin, you will see Inside the Guan Yin statue, you can go up to see the view of Wat Huai Plakang from a high angle. If you go up, take the elevator to the 25th floor (elevator fee is 20 baht per person). You can walk around to see the beauty of the temple and walk to the viewpoint. You will be at the eyes of Guan Yin, where you can see the view of Chiang Rai. You can also see the dragon gate at the entrance to the temple, right in front of the large Guan Yin statue. It is another highlight corner that you should not miss.

⭐ Special recommendation:
The Blue Temple is a temple with very high color saturation; all the buildings have a clear blue hue. This slightly mysterious color makes the Blue Temple an excellent choice for photography.
It is indeed the preferred location for great shots. Every corner of the Blue Temple, every inch of color, and every statue is highly artistic. Coupled with this heart-piercing blue, it feels exotic no matter how you take the photo.
👌🏻 Practical tips:
Adhere to the dress code, ladies should not wear short sleeves or shorts, and men should not wear tank tops. Do not let your own photography affect the essence that the Blue Temple should have. The grand yet beautiful exterior and the exquisite art inside are also very worth admiring and photographing.
