🏡Wat Chong Lom is a temple that has been around since the beginning of the Rattanakosin period, but it is not known where it was built. It was originally located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. The river is winding and shady, and it is cooled by the wind along the river all the time. This is the origin of the temple's name.
🏞During the reign of King Rama V, the State Railway of Thailand wanted to use the temple's land to build a deep-sea port and a warehouse for equipment transported from seagoing ships. The temple's location was suitable for a port, so they exchanged land.
⛺The State Railway of Thailand therefore built a temple on the land that was exchanged with the temple in 1909.
The important and interesting things in the temple are as follows:
🏠Ubosot, inside which is the principal Buddha image, a Buddha image in the blessing posture.
🙏Inside the temple is also the enshrined Luang Pho Sothon. Phra Sangkachai and Phra Sivali for you to worship and ask for blessings.
