🚙Take a trip to Wat Cheing Tha, Ayutthaya, an ancient and beautiful temple, a national historical site
🛕Wat Cheing Tha, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. The name tells you that it must be on the riverside. Wat Cheing Tha is located on the banks of the Lop Buri River. There is no clear evidence of when it was built or who built it. During the reign of King Narai the Great, there is evidence that when Chao Phraya Kosapan was an ambassador, upon returning from France, he renovated this temple and changed its name to Wat Kosawat. The highlight of Wat Cheing Tha is that inside the temple there are beautiful late Ayutthaya period Thai art works at the Sala Karn Parian, which was built during the Rattanakosin period, around the reign of King Rama IV. 🙏🙏🙏

Wat Choeng Tha, Ayutthaya – Serenity by the River and Artistic Heritage
Amidst the many famous temples on Ayutthaya Island, there is a small riverside temple along the Chao Phraya River that is often overlooked: Wat Choeng Tha. For those who are passionate about ancient sites, this is a stop you shouldn't miss.
The temple's most striking feature is its ancient prang (a type of Thai-style stupa), which remains majestic despite enduring hundreds of years. The prang, built with laterite in the early Ayutthaya style, stands on a square base. Surrounding the prang are stucco decorations adorning the niches, some of which have worn away with age. However, the overall sharpness of the design still invites admiration. This prang reflects the craftsmanship of ancient artisans and clearly showcases the connection between Thai architecture and Buddhist art from the early Ayutthaya period.
Unlike larger temples, Wat Choeng Tha is not bustling with crowds. Instead, it exudes charm through its tranquility, simplicity, and the living aura of history. Strolling quietly around the prang by the river might evoke a sense of something unique that larger temples cannot offer.
If you're planning a smooth trip to Wat Choeng Tha, consider using the Trip.com app to find routes from Bangkok, book accommodations near Ayutthaya Island, or include other temples in a one-day itinerary in Ayutthaya. It's the one app that helps you explore places with deeper understanding.

Wat Cheing Tha
Wat Cheng Tha, Lopburi Province
🙏This is an ancient and historically significant temple in Lopburi Province. Inside the temple, there is a chapel and a vihara built in the style of ancient Thai architecture. It is a chapel facing north, which is different from most temples in Thailand that usually face the chapel to the east. There is a pagoda located behind the chapel. It is not very large and is made of brick and mortar. It has a square base with twelve recessed corners, which was a popular style during the Ayutthaya period.
🌿Luang Pho Nak is a sacred Buddha image of the temple that is highly respected by the villagers. It is a sandstone Buddha image in the reclining Buddha posture, Bayon style, which is Khmer art during the reign of King Jayavarman VII. It is hundreds of years old.
🛶The Queen Chamadevi Boat is a monument located at the temple's pier. It was built to commemorate the legend of the journey of Queen Chamadevi, the daughter of the city of Lavo (Lopburi), who took a boat from this pier to rule Hariphunchai (Lamphun) over a thousand years ago. According to the legend that has been passed down

📞Hello Hello, I heard it and answered.
In Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, there are many ancient sites. But today, we will take you to the island, along the Lopburi River, Tha Wasukri Subdistrict, which is the port area that crossed from Ayutthaya Island to the shore in ancient times. The Fine Arts Department has registered it as an ancient site.
That is "WatChengTha". This temple was once used to film a famous drama. Important things to see are the Thai-style dust-colored murals, the pulpit and the sangkhet, and the sermon hall.
