A Stunning Buddhist Temple You Must Visit‼️🇹🇭
#grouptravel
Wat Chaiwatthanaram is a Buddhist temple in the city of Ayutthaya Historical Park, Thailand. This temple is becoming one of Ayutthaya's best known temples and a major tourist attraction.
The Thai word wat denotes a Buddhist temple and monastery precinct, and Wat Chaiwatthanaram means “the temple of victory and progress.” It was built in 1630 by King Prasat Thong to honor his mother, Wat Chai Wattanaram was conceived as a replica of the Angkor Temple.
Wat Chai uniquely incorporates characteristically Khmer-influenced features, especially through its eight merus (conical pavilion towers), set around a central prang (spire).

Wat Chaiwatthanaram, Ayutthaya - Thailand: Another significant temple in an ancient city. This take only one hour away from Bangkok so most tourists always take only a day trip there and visit several temples in a day by having lunch by the river.

Dacheng Guifei Temple | Chaiwattanalan
A train that took nearly two hours from Bangkok will come to Thailand's former capital city.
In Ayutthaya, the first temple to visit is the Chaiwattanaram Temple, which is the most complete and typical Ayutthaya style temple in the Ayutthaya Buddhist Temple. This is also one of the most majestic and beautiful temples in Ayutthaya, so it is also called the Guilin Temple.
This is not just a temple, but a tower group. In the center of the tower is a Khmer-style tower. There are 4 small towers around the main tower, and 8 smaller towers and doors on the periphery. The whole building is unconventional.
I also found a very special thing, that is, the "heads" of these Buddha statues are gone. Why?
Later, the tour guide explained that because of the war with Myanmar at the time, the Burmese army cut off the head of the Buddha statue and plundered it to sell or bring it back to its own country.
[Travel Tips]
If you want to take the most beautiful Chaiwattanaram Temple, you have to come at dusk, the sun is shining on the river, and the temples are shining together, which is very beautiful.
Jojos trip.
The mystical Ayutthaya
Spent a week with my girl in Bangkok for mother and daughter bonding time, and a day trip to Ayutthaya is a must for me. I enjoyed Thai movies, and Love Destiny has brought Ayutthaya on the spotlight, with the mystical Mini Angkok Wat and many prominant places along the river. The temple ruins is unlike others, it bears the Thai and Cambodian heritage.

Visit Wat Chaiwatthanaram in Ayutthaya.
Wat Chaiwatthanaram was built in 1630 by King Prasat Thong. He ordered its construction on the site of his former home to dedicate merit to his mother. However, Prince Damrong Rajanubhab speculated that the temple was built to commemorate the victory over the city of Lovek, modeled after Angkor Wat.
Wat Chaiwatthanaram is a royal temple where kings have performed religious ceremonies. It has been restored in every reign and served as the cremation site for almost all royal family members. King Boromakot was also cremated here.
Admission fees are 10 baht for Thais and 50 baht for foreigners. Tickets can be purchased on-site without prior reservation. Free parking is available in front of the temple for about 50 cars. If full, private parking is available for 30 baht per car.
For those who want to rent traditional Thai costumes for photos, you can contact the front of the temple. Rental prices start at around 300 baht, depending on your preference.
Alternatively, if you want to enjoy a coffee while viewing Wat Chaiwatthanaram from outside without paying the 10 baht entrance fee, there is an air-conditioned coffee shop nearby. You can also sit outdoors. Drinks are priced at around 70 baht per cup.

Wat Chaiwatthanaram is renowned for its prang-style towers and the central prang, surrounded by eight smaller prangs. The architectural style is influenced by Khmer and Ayutthayan design, showcasing intricate details and decorative elements.
During the Burmese invasion in 1767, the temple suffered damage, and its structures were partially destroyed. Tour of Ayutthaya Chaiwatthanaram Temple
After arriving in Bangkok at the end of January, I spent a day in Ayutthaya to see the ruins. The Chaiwatthanaram Temple, known as the 'Little Angkor Wat', has a unique charm. It's different from the Angkor Wat in Cambodia that I visited a few years ago. The red bricks seem to exude a more vicissitudinous feeling. The driver of the chartered car on this trip was also very dedicated to helping, even though he was injured and had to use a crutch to drive, I really admire him! Of course, I couldn't skimp on the tip! A five-star journey.

I experienced a 50 yuan golden Thai costume styling in Ayutthaya!
Ayutthaya chartered day tour, the last temple to go to was Wat Chai Wattanara, also called the Concubine Temple, a magnificent and beautiful temple.
The Concubine Temple is the most Cambodian-style temple, with a Khmer-style tower in the center, four small towers around it, and eight smaller towers on the periphery.
The Concubine Temple is the most concentrated place for renting Thai costumes in Ayutthaya. The shop with the blue door face diagonally opposite the parking lot, the clothes are 200 baht, the headgear is 50 baht, which is converted to 50 yuan in RMB, and it is all done within 10 minutes, and a free umbrella is also obtained.
Interestingly, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok seems to prefer silver and white styling, while the Concubine Temple in Ayutthaya is all golden, mainly a rustic (no, noble) style.

Magical Thailand | Two charming off-the-beaten-path cultural spots | Gazing at ancient history
Winter is a great time to travel to Thailand, a mysterious and charming oriental country, which holds many unknown treasures. On this beautiful and magical land, we will appreciate the unique cultural charm and feel the warm and friendly folk customs.
When you travel to Thailand, I recommend you to visit these two charming off-the-beaten-path spots
🔸Historic City of Ayutthaya
The Historic City of Ayutthaya, a place known as the 'eternal dynasty', although it has passed, it truly records a glorious history. As the second dynasty of Thailand, Ayutthaya was the capital of the Ayutthaya Kingdom and flourished for more than four hundred years. Here, we can feel the charm of ancient Thai civilization and immerse ourselves in the river of history.
Walking in the Historic City of Ayutthaya, it seems that we can hear the drumbeats and cheers of the ancient dynasty. The old palaces and temples, in the vicissitudes of time, are already incomplete, but they constitute this ancient and solemn site. When the afterglow of the setting sun is sprinkled on these ancient buildings, the entire site seems to have a mysterious power that intoxicates people.
🔸Wat Chaiwatthanaram
Continuing from the Historic City of Ayutthaya, we come to Wat Chaiwatthanaram. This Buddhist temple is located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, outside Ayutthaya Island. It is one of the most magnificent and beautiful temples in the park, and local Thais also like to come here.
The architecture of Wat Chaiwatthanaram is gorgeous, symbolizing the prosperity and peace of Thai history.
In the center of the pagoda group is a large Khmer-style tower, surrounded by four small towers, and outside there are eight smaller towers and gates. The 13 tall towers are surrounded by 120 seated Buddhas, and 12 large Buddhas sit in the 8 small towers.
Here, you can worship with a calm mind and feel the wisdom and compassion of Buddhism. Whether you believe or not, Wat Chaiwatthanaram will give you a sense of tranquility and peace, as if time stands still here, allowing you to reflect and purify your heart.
💗Warm tips:
Both of these spots are very photogenic, suitable for wearing Thai traditional costumes for photos. There are Thai costume rentals at the entrance of the scenic area, 200 baht each time, no time limit, which is quite cost-effective.
These off-the-beaten-path spots, although not as grand and bustling as Bangkok, exude another unique charm. If you like historical sites, you might as well come to the Historic City of Ayutthaya and Wat Chaiwatthanaram, and gaze at the ancient history and culture.
🌍Let's embark on this magical journey to Thailand together, gaze at the ancient history, and feel the charm of culture.🌍

This is the largest ancient temple site of Ayutthaya historic Park.
The temple compound is big and structures are very beautiful.
The lighting at night makes the temple even more exotic and beautiful.
Many Thai traditional costumes rental store next to the temple for THB100.
You will see many visitors were wearing the traditional costumes to visit this temple.
A great spot to take photos and appreciate historical architecture.

TEMPLES ARE LIKE DIAMONDS
Ayutthaya is one of the places in Thailand that never fails to amused me. The main attraction of this place is called the ruins or the old temples. Every corner of this always has an amazing story to tell. A good way to experience the culture and the ancient time. An impressive display of ancient temples an hour away from Bangkok. As the ancient and still the longest lasting capital city of Siam, there are so many temples scattered across the city, i'd say any cross road was showing ancient ruins of what it was supposed to be a golden capitol. The guide of our half-day tour told us about the story until the city was destroyed during the was with neighboring countries. The temples were covered by 25 carat gold, but despite that what is left today gives a clear idea of the majestic times. These buildings are truly amazing. Ayutthaya is a must to be visited by any tourist spending days in Bangkok. #freehotelstay

Fantastic views of the ruins
This well-preserved temple in Ayutthaya is built in the typical Khmer style, not hard to find similarities to Angkor Wat. I had a moment to enjoy its beauty just before the storm arrives😌 #thailand #temple #ayutthaya

It's like you travel thru time!
These pictures were taken at Wat Chaiwatthanaram, “the Temple of Victory and Progress”. This temple has been built since 1630. Restoration efforts that began in 1987 turned Wat Chaiwatthanaram from ruins into one of the most visited tourist attractions in Ayutthaya Historical Park complex. Built in the traditional Khmer style, this temple is the most impressive and offers an insight into the influence of Buddhism in Thailand. Some part of the temple was appear in The Mortal Kombat movie and some video games.
And oh by the way, to get to Ayutthaya you can use train, go directly buy tickets on the spot at Hua Lamphong Station, and it will take approximately 90 to 120 minutes.

In 1630, Prasat Thong, the king of the city of Ayutthaya, ordered the construction of the temple in honor of his mother living in the area. Also in commemoration of its victory during the reign of Cambodia, the name of the temple literally means the temple of the glorious era of long-term rule.
As a cloth, King of Barcelona overthrew the former king and boarded the throne. The establishment of the monastery seemed to aim to preserve his legitimate throne. In 1767, when the Great Wall was captured by the Burmese army, it was destroyed by the Burmese army. Later, in the ruined years of the Great City, the Buddha statues in the temple were repeatedly stolen, but the grand scale of the remains left today is enough to make all the tourists extremely smashed.
If you don't study history, the Chaiwattanaram Temple is also the most complete and typical Ayutthaya style temple in the Ayutthaya Buddhist Temple. In the 1980s, it was repaired here. Because the temple was built on the edge of the river, the scenery is very beautiful. It is very good to watch the sunset here.
This is also my favorite spot in Ayutthaya. The venue is bigger than several other temples. It is opposite the river and can be used by boat. It is too beautiful to see the sunset at five o'clock. There are many Thai people wearing here. National costumes take artistic photos and wedding photos. It is also the location of the Thai TV series "Natural Pairs". On that day, many local people came to check out the cards!
