For our first dinner in Bali we HAD to eat at the renowned Balinese restaurant ‘Warung Nia’ a restaurant most famous for their Pork Ribs and Chicken Satay which is exactly what we ordered for our feast😋
The pork ribs at Warung Nia were a standout dish. Tender and succulent, the meat fell off the bone with each bite. The ribs were marinated in a flavorful blend of spices, giving them a delightful balance of sweet and savory flavors.
The accompanying sauce added an extra layer of richness and complemented the meat beautifully. The fried rice it also came with was flavorful and tasty, perfect with the meat indeed! And The portion size was generous, making it a satisfying choice for meat lovers like us😋
The chicken satay was equally delightful. The skewered chicken pieces were perfectly grilled, resulting in a juicy and tender texture. The marinade had a well-balanced combination of spices, lending a subtle hint of sweetness and a touch of smokiness to the dish. The satay was served with a peanut sauce that was creamy and flavorful, providing a delightful contrast to the grilled chicken. A classic Indonesian dish done right.
The staff at Warung Nia was friendly and attentive. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided recommendations. The restaurant had a casual and relaxed atmosphere, with a traditional Balinese vibe. We loved the open-air setting and wooden furnishing, allowed for a more chilled dining experience.
