Among the many towns along Lake Como, a famous lake near Milan, my favorite is Varenna! Most people go to Como, but I liked this place much better than Como. You can get there by train from Milan, and then take a boat from another town (e.g. Bellagio). The town is so pretty that just walking around makes you feel good! #EuropeTravel

This is my third time visiting Milan, and I make a special trip to check in each time to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In the town of Varenna, I find my inner self. 🌟Here, you can be surrounded by flowers, and you can also take a boat trip around Lake Como to admire the scenery of other surrounding towns. Bellagio and Menaggio are both super beautiful. At the same time, you can feel the splendor and beauty of Lake Como. 🌟There are many hiking routes in the Varenna area. You can choose a route that suits you, stroll along the lakeside or mountain trails, and enjoy the natural scenery and cultural landscape along the way. 🌟It is also recommended to visit museums such as the Varenna International Vintage Boat Museum to learn about local history and culture. To see the surrounding towns of Lake Como, people usually go to Varenna, Bellagio, Como, Lenno, etc. You can take a day trip from Milan. It is recommended to take Varenna as your first destination. It only takes 1 hour by train to reach Varenna. There is no need to change trains in the middle. It is quick and convenient. After getting off the bus, walk for 10 minutes and you will see the lake and the Alps in the distance. If you visit in March, you will be lucky enough to see the snow-capped peaks. After arriving in Varenna, you can queue up to buy a ferry ticket. The ferry ticket has a specified destination but no restrictions on the number of flights. You can take the flight to the selected destination at any time. After purchasing the boat ticket, it is recommended to go to Villa Cipressi and Villa Monastero in Varenna. There are also many check-in spots along the way. When you arrive at Villa Cipressi, you can buy a combination ticket, which allows you to enter both villas. The green Villa Cipressi is dominated by various flowers, while Villa Monastero has more sculptures and characteristic buildings. Both are worth a visit. After visiting the two villas, you can go back to the pier. You bought a ticket to Bellagio at that time. The speedboat only takes more than ten minutes. We spent a day in Varenna, one of the Lake Como areas for just a few hours from Milan! I would suggest an early start to the day so you can also take the ferry to Bellagio and make the most of your trip! Overall Varenna was amazing; it was quiet beautiful and had lots of photo opportunities. Try to avoid coming during winter as it did rain during our day trip here. #Ho-kangs A stay at the Villa Cipressi Hotel was a magical and luxurious experience on the shores of Lake Como. The hotel features a historic design and beautiful gardens overlooking the lake, which add to the romantic and tranquil atmosphere. The room was elegant and comfortable, with a wonderful view of the lake and the surrounding gardens. I enjoyed walking through the gardens filled with ancient trees and various flowers, and breakfast on the outdoor terrace was an unforgettable experience. The service was excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful. It is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature in a luxurious and comfortable atmosphere.

Visiting Lake Como is not complete without touring these two villas: Villa Cipressi and Villa Monastero. Villa Monastero and Villa Cipressi are must-see attractions when visiting Varenna at Lake Como, Italy. The beauty of their architecture left me in awe, and the breathtaking scenery made me feel like I was in another world. Their botanical gardens facing Lake Como made me feel like I had stepped into a stunning landscape painting. The picturesque views were so beautiful they seemed unreal. At Villa Cipressi, you must visit the Gates of Heaven. The name speaks for itself - the wrought iron gate opening towards the shimmering sky and lake is one of the most enchanting sights I have ever seen. At Villa Monastero, you can immerse yourself in the dreamy Renaissance-style architecture; of course, you must visit their botanical garden, which features many unique plants. As for ticket prices, you can purchase a combo ticket for 19 euros to visit both villas, or a single villa ticket for 10 euros.

Everyone's seen the stunning pics, the wedding setting, the celebrity villa's and so much more with context to Lake como on social media. With so many small towns by the lake como. One has to pick a spot, at least in my case that's a bit of a hidden gem, affordable and offers all the charm that lake como is all about. My pick was the Varenna, a personal favourite and probably amongst the most beautiful towns by Lake como. Where the town of como lacks in the historical element, Varenna gives you it's museums and historical sights as an added offering to the most picturesque lake como views. That's not all, I have seen some of the most magnificent villas with well illustrated gardens. The walks here had such an underlying theme of nature and history. A lot of people I met here were even on short day trips because they'd rather spend their limited day of off here than elsewhere. Afterall you are merely an hour's train ride from Milan and a quick ferry ride from other towns like tremezzina. Allowing thos tk be clubbed with your plans there.
