This is at the Singapore Victoria Concert Hall. The nearest MRT station is Raffles Place station, approximately 10 minutes on foot from there. The grass patch is perfect for a picnic and you can enjoy the light show of the Marina Bay Sands from them. If you’re lucky enough, you can also catch i-light show at the Victoria concert hall itself. You may also see stars when the sky is clear

Johann Sebastian Bach | Concertos
Singapore's premier baroque ensemble, Red Dot Baroque, will be celebrating their fifth anniversary by performing Bach's Brandenburg Concertos in their entirety at Victoria Concert Hall on Sep 3.
These 6 concertos arguably represent the pinnacle of the Baroque period. In addition, Red Dot Baroque have invited special guest musicians from Europe to help them bring the masterpieces to life.

Clock Tower Climb (Victoria Concert Hall)
$30 per pax, limited group size per time slot for safety as there’s ain’t a lot of space up at the clock tower. Highly recommended experience if you manage to grab a slot. 2h tour includes visits to different parts of VCH and nuggets of info given before cumulating in the climax climb up the clock tower.
You will gear up with all safety gear before accending the climb. The guides will try to match ur time of visit with the chime of the bell, and we were fortunate enough to climb at the hour mark, meaning the big bells were ringing for the longest song while we were up there! The sound is loud but nothing too startling. Sit down and enjoy the experience of chiming bells inside the bell tower if you are more likely to be startled by loud sounds.

Clock Tower Climb with VCT & VCH tour
With slightly overcast skies that afternoon, we were getting increasingly worried about not making it up to the very top of Victoria Concert Hall’s iconic clock tower 🏫 (it would be inaccessible in the event of rain due to safety considerations) Our guide thus made the very considerate call to let us head up the clock tower right at the start of our hour-long tour, before visiting Victoria Concert Theatre & lastly, Victoria Concert Hall.
Several staircase & two ladder-like climbs later, we were atop the 54-metre clock tower for a glimpse of the five majestic bells 🔔 that weigh a grand total of 5000 kg. These bells have played the same Westminster jingle since 1905, chiming every 15 minutes, and they complete the full melody every hour 🎶
As we proceeded to the foyer of Victoria Theatre, I was also impressed with a stunning Rubik's cube-like installation, formed entirely by recycled theatre seats from the 1950s. Many still retained their individual numbers, spray-painted in white, which only served to evoke more old-school vibes & an invaluable nostalgic look 😍
Tours are open to the public with selected dates each month, priced at $30 per person.

Concert Hall

The Victoria concert hall is located at a ten minute walk from the raffles place MRT station. The concert hall is huge. I like to visit this concert hall as it is a very quiet place to be in. The strong air-conditioning makes it feel very relaxing and peaceful. You can see the upcoming concerts behind held at the concert hall from the booth over there. It is like a European palace where everything inside was so grand and magnificent . If you happen to be there, you can visit other attractions such as the national gallery and the Asian civilisation museum too. An admission tickets are required for both attractions.

Victoria Memorial Hall

Victoria Memorial Hall is one of the places that is part of the Light To Night 2024 festival. The light show here is impressive too. Victoria Memorial Hall is famous for the Sir Stamford Raffles statue that stood grandly in front of the building. The hall also held many performing arts. The building was completed in 1909 and thus has a very rich history.

My 2024 travel wish is to visit Bangkok to find out more about their attractions there.
A place located right in the heart of the town. With a great place for everyone to appreciate the arts of music, sound, role plays. If you are someone into arts and music, you should visit the Victoria hall for concerts, arts, and musical performances here.
The building looks very magnificent and aesthetic from the outside and the inside architecture was amazing too. The high ceiling looks like the European colonial period buildings which are very beautiful. You can approach the friendly staff on the upcoming performances. If you are interested in attending, you can buy a ticket there and enjoy the performance.

This vintage building is so eye-pleasing in the exterior and inside is equally great! The Palladian architectural style is so well suited to classical music with it's richness and grandeur-massive columns and beautiful marble staircase. Sir Stamford Raffles Statue is found here as Raffles is believed to have landed in 1819. #timetotravel #rediscoversg #rediscoversingapore #singapore

Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall
#wheretogo
Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall is the most beautiful theater and concert hall in Singapore. The building was built in the early 1900s and was restored and reopened in 2014. On the outside you’ll see the classic stone vintage look from the colonial times and on the inside, it is elegant and contemporary. The Victorian architecture is so immensely rich and grand with its massive columns, marble staircases and intricate wall carvings. This is one of my favourite buildings in Singapore.
I had the opportunity to catch a children’s play at its theatre and the seating was plush and comfortable. The layout of the theater was well planned and every seat had a good unblocked view of the stage. The acoustics were wonderful and resonated the sound out perfectly. Even my young daughter could appreciate the beauty of the place. If you have a chance, do book a show here and I promise you will not regret.
Unfortunately on the day I visited the weather was dark, gloomy and rained eventually. So the photos couldn’t capture the beauty of the place. Come on a good day and you’ll get to see the contrast of the green grass and striking blue sky from the little park outside. Do have a walk around this beautiful building and it’s surrounding area. It is so incredibly romantic especially at night when it’s all lit up. Come and fall in love with this place right in the heart of Singapore.

Victoria Concert Hall is a great venue for shows and performances. The internal concert hall has amazing acoustics and comfortable seating. It's home to the Singapore Symphony Ochestra (SSO). It is the oldest concert hall in Singapore but this historical place is very well-maintained. You can stroll along as a visitor or join a guided tour and climb its 54-metre tall Clock Tower to appreciate the beauty of this neo-classical building. You can reach there by MRT (City Hall and Raffles Place) and an estimated 10-min walk or by taking bus (there are many buses nearby with a short walk to the venue).

Adjacent to the theater, Victoria Concert Hall, established in 1905, showcases an equally impressive neoclassical design. Its main hall, the Victoria Theatre, hosts classical music concerts, orchestral performances, and more.
Together, the Victoria Theatre & Victoria Concert Hall form a cherished cultural institution in Singapore, embodying the city's commitment to the arts.

Ambiance/Facilities - Heritage building in Singapore
Highlight - Historic concert hall
Attended a classical concert at one of the oldest buildings in Singapore. Built in 1862 and restored in 1905 ,Victoria Concert Hall is one Singapore oldest performing art venue. Conveniently located at a 10 min walk from city hall mrt station.
The concert hall itself was not big and the stage was rather small, compared to other performing venues in Singapore.
One thing I don't understand is the security officer does not allow me to take photo in the building, when it’s suppose to be a place of interest in Singapore.
A must for any one to visit at least once if the life time
