Ubud Traditional Art Market: A paradise for handicrafts. Take a stroll along the street
When you arrive at the Ubud Art Market, you will see a wide variety of handicrafts, rattan bags, colorful woven fabrics, traditional costumes, etc. You can find almost all Balinese-style specialty products here.
As a tourist area, prices are not transparent and the same product may vary greatly in price in different stores. We personally inquired at three stores and found that the prices vary greatly, depending entirely on your bargaining skills.
🔹 Compare prices from several stores before deciding.
🔹 Bargain appropriately, usually you can cut the price by at least 30-50%.
🔹 Choose products of good quality. Some cheaper ones may have rough workmanship.
Although prices fluctuate, this is still a great place to discover treasures, and those who like Balinese style will definitely love it!

Ubud Indoor Art Market

Opposite the Ubud Palace is the Ubud Indoor Art Market. The lighting inside is quite dim and there is no price for the goods sold. I believe this will test everyone's vision and bargaining skills. . . However, if you have no interest in art, you can skip it. . .

Ubud's Traditional Art Market - right next to our guest house, just a short stroll away.
It's conveniently close to the Ubud Palace too.
Immersed in the rich art, craft, and culture of Bali, we found ourselves surrounded by a treasure trove of handmade items - clothing, bags, home decor, and jewelry, each exuding uniqueness. Prices were quite reasonable.
Pro tip: Take your time, stroll around, and compare prices; bargaining is a must!

Ubud art market
It was my first visit to Bali and it’s almost the same as how I would imagine it to be, a lot of art and craft and the heat 😂 the first skill you need to learn before coming here is the bargaining skill, everyone bargains here!! Normally they will set a very high price for the item and all you need to do is to bargain with them, most of the time, they will just ask you how much you want.
Love the art and craft and culture here. I’m actually very surprised that all the people here are extremely friendly and helpful! We went in the an art gallery and this 13 boy told me that he painted some of the painting and explained to me the meaning behind it. They also willing to explain to you even though they know you’re not buying the painting.
There are alot of cloths, bags, home deco and jewellery. I love how all of them are hand made and it’s very unique, the price is quite reasonable as well. You’ll be seeing alot of stalls with the same kind of products, so don’t rush to buy anything first, can walk around and survey the price for the best deal!
Enjoy shopping!!

Ubud Art Market: The hidden artist atmosphere in the market vendors
The Ubud Art Market opposite the Ubud Palace is a classic project with group tours that was not in our list. But after a plethora of goods, I couldn't help but look in it. Although the entrance to the Ubud art market is always in the doorway, people and people rub shoulders, but if you walk patiently, there will be fewer tourists and the shopping experience will be slightly better.
The goods in the market are mainly hand-made straw bags, exotic casual wear, various Hindu-style carvings and traditional Balinese decorations. Although the degree of commercialization is very high, the products are mixed, including well-made silver, woodcarving, batik and oil paintings. There are also some rough workmanships, which are like Yiwu small commodities. But you can choose some favorite items carefully. . Its just that you can buy something here and youre really going to shop around.
The most worthwhile purchase is a straw bag with different shapes. At first glance, the INS bloggers' net red models are not rare. Feel free to wear a straw bag, when you take a photo, you will have a summer vacation. Since there are so many choices, why not choose a special one? Although there was no pickpocket in the market, but in a street stall not far from the market, I still picked up a stylish straw bag, hollowed out with leather handles, styling and very loaded, squatting It is also very comfortable, it can be said that this is the most satisfactory spoils of this trip to Bali.

Ubud Morning Market
A small morning market was held on the streets surrounding the front yard of Ubud Market, which has been unusable since last year's fire.
Babi Guling by Eve (the mother) with a lovely smile was 20,000 rupiah. The amount is worth the price, but it's just the right size for breakfast.
It was rich in flavor and delicious!
💰Price per person: 20,000 rupiah
📍Location: In front of Ubud Market
💞Reasons for recommendation: Cheap and delicious

Ubud!
The Ubud Art Market, located in the heart of Ubud, is a vibrant marketplace filled with handmade crafts, textiles, and souvenirs from local artisans. From woven bags and silk scarves to intricate wood carvings, it’s the perfect place to find unique Balinese treasures. Just across the street stands the Ubud Palace (Puri Saren Agung), a historic landmark showcasing traditional Balinese architecture and royal heritage. Once home to Ubud’s royal family, the palace remains a cultural hub, hosting traditional dance performances in the evening. Together, these two iconic sites capture the artistic and historical essence of Ubud, making them must-visit attractions.

Ubud Traditional Art Market in Bali, a favorite of literary youth and a treasure trove for those who like handicrafts
#9月好去地方2024
Ubud is not only a major center of painting and art in Bali, but also a world-famous art village and the soul of Bali. So this time I especially recommend that friends who come to Ubud must visit Ubud Art Market (Pasar Seni Ubud) Ubud Traditional Art Market!
This market is located opposite the Ubud Palace. The market sells everything from wood carvings/leather goods/batik/musical instruments, silver jewelry, hand-woven bags, to traditional costumes! This is also the filming location of the Hollywood movie Eat Pray Love, and the movie actress Julia Roberts often visits the stall. Therefore, the photo-taking rate of the entire market is very high, and it is a treasure trove for literary and artistic young people.
Because there are many tourists here, the prices offered by the shops are very high, so if you see something you like, be sure to bargain hard.

💕Must-Visit Ubud Art Market☀️Bali,Indonesia💚
🇮🇩 Blissful Bali🇮🇩
Our day in Bali started with a visit to the vibrant Ubud Art Market. We spent time exploring the bustling stalls, admiring the intricate handicrafts, batik fabrics, and unique local artwork on display. The energy of the market was infectious, as vendors enthusiastically showcased their wares and negotiated with eager shoppers.
We bought a few things actually, a bag, a dress and some earrings, a nice keepsake indeed!
After our time at the market, we hopped into a car and began our journey back towards the Legian area. Along the way, we were treated to a stunning sunset view. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky exploded in a breathtaking array of colors - fiery oranges, warm reds, and soft pinks. We watched in awe as the landscape was bathed in the golden glow, casting a serene and tranquil atmosphere over the countryside.

Where is the best place to shop in Bali!! A pair of slippers for 15 can last for more than a decade
❤Recommended reason:
When it comes to Ubud, everyone knows the famous Ubud traditional market, one of the filming locations for 'Eat, Pray, Love'.
📍Detailed address:
The Ubud market is located right across from the Ubud Palace, and the first thing you enter is a two-story white building, which can be entered from both the left and right doors.
I really like 'panning for gold', and this market is definitely great for me.
There are all kinds of souvenirs, and very interesting shop owners.
The Ubud market is suitable for tourists who like to bargain, often getting items that are priced high for a low price. The market has a complete range of items, rich in styles, and has a very BALI vibe.
📝Note tips:
Make sure you want the item before bargaining, as you will be despised if you successfully bargain and then don't buy;
You can start bargaining at 20% of the item's price, and it's a good deal if you can get it for around 30%;
It's harder to bargain in the shops on the central street, you can pick the same item on the corner and then bargain.

Ubud Market
Neat and structured. That was the first impression that came to my mind when I first set foot in Ubud Market.
This market is suitable for hunting for souvenirs such as key chains, dreamcatchers, etc. There are also several beach themed clothes that you can buy if you run out of clothes to wear.
What's unique about this location is that there is one point that cars can use to pick up and drop off passengers without disrupting traffic.

Indonesia Travel / The Unmissable Ubud Market
Every time you visit Bali, Ubud is a must-visit.
Ubud has a very long history and culture, with many amazing ancient temples such as Pura Besakih Temple, the largest temple on Bali Island. In addition to the temples, there is also beautiful natural scenery.
Absolutely love Ubud market and all the handmade crafts inside.
Ubud Market is the oldest art market in the area, known as
For "Pasar Seni Ubudi", located across from Ubud Palace, it is also a filming location for the movie "Eat Pray Love".
🌵There are a large number of traditional arts and crafts in the market, most of which are locally produced in nearby villages. If you have time, you can also visit the homes of local handicraft producers to admire their work. The shops mostly sell hand-woven rattan bags, clothes, dream catchers, and small wooden carvings with Indonesian characteristics. For a trip to Bali, this can be the last stop to buy unique local souvenirs.
🌵Price
Because there are many tourists here, the prices are generally high. If you can bargain and master the skill, you won't be ripped off. Each merchant here has a calculator, so you can use their calculator to negotiate the price by cutting it to one-third or half of their original price.
🌵Besides the good shopping for handicrafts, this is also a relatively good place for taking photos. Those who like to go for an artistic style have a high success rate in taking photos here, and the photos taken have a great atmosphere. Please note that it is allowed to take photos on the pedestrian street outside the market, but it is better to get consent before taking photos of others. Some vendors may refuse your request to take photos.
🌵Next to Ubud Market is Ubud Palace, where you can plan your itinerary for a visit. There are many restaurants nearby, mainly serving Western, Indian, and local cuisine.

Ubud traditional art market
This traditional art market was my favourite location during my entire Bali trip as it had so many beautifully crafted items from the locals themselves. You can get handcrafted Ukeleles, paintings, woven bags and other merchandise. Super bustling and lively atmosphere as well. Made for great souvenirs to buy back home too!
My overall rating of the experience: 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ubud Art Market Ubud Market is colored. Maybe some goods will be made in YIWU, but it does not prevent girls from loving it. In addition to rattan straw bags, a variety of small jewelry, there are net red ice cream and unique local customs, of course, those beautiful guys who passed by, attracted my attention.
