This free-standing suspension bridge that connects MacRitchie's two highest peaks (Bukit Peirce and Bukit Kalang), is the first of its type in Singapore and the surrounding area. address: park/start near Venus drive. will be a 1h walk to treetop walk. definitely one of the greatest highlight of MacRitchie reservoir trail! this is a 250m suspension bridge, not for those who fear of height but definitely enjoyable 3-5min walk! there are often monkeys around so avoid bringing snack or food and please don’t feed them as well. the walk on the bridge was short and sweet, it is part of the trail. it is a one way traffic bridge. so you can only enjoyed it once :p will be able to see the rainforest and sg skyline. recommend for ppl who love hikes and long walk. check operating hour before going. #meetsingapore

The main highlight of our 4-hour hike through MacRitchie Nature Trail was definitely the Treetop walk! We missed it during our visit last year as It was closed for upgrading works. The TreeTop Walk is a 250-metre free-standing suspension bridge that joins Bukit Peirce with Bukit Kalang, 25 metres above the ground. It offers spectacular view of the mature forest canopy. Best of all it's free, as long as you are fit enough to hike 1-2 hours to reach the entrance from the Ranger Station via Peirce track. It's a one-way traffic there so there's no turning back once you're on the bridge. After exiting the bridge it will be another 1-2 hours walk back to MacRitchie Reservoir Park. Opening Hours: Tuesdays to Fridays: 9 am to 5 pm, Weekends and Public Holidays: 8.30 am to 5 pm. #favouriteitinerary One of our most memorable hikes in Singapore has to be the MacRitchie Treetop Walk. We chose the moderate to difficult 7-8km route via Venus Loop, which made for an exciting yet manageable trek. The best part? Reaching the Treetop Walk, a 250-meter-long suspension bridge that gives you an incredible view of the rainforest canopy. Getting There We took bus 167 from near our hotel and got off at Opp Flame Tree Park bus stop. From there, it was just a short walk to the MacRitchie Treetop Carpark at Venus Drive, which was where we started our hike. The Hike We set off from Venus Loop and were surprised at how peaceful the trail was for a Sunday morning. The path was a mix of boardwalks and packed dirt, easy enough to walk on but still offering a good workout. We took our time, walking at a relaxed pace with plenty of stops for photos, and finished the hike in about three to four hours. Instead of retracing our steps on the way back, we decided to take a slightly different route to keep things interesting. Along the way, we saw plenty of birds, monkeys, and beautiful forest scenery. Reaching the Treetop Walk was definitely the highlight. Walking across the suspension bridge, surrounded by towering trees and endless greenery, was such a breathtaking experience. It felt like we were floating above the forest, taking in the view from a whole new perspective. Things to Keep in Mind - This hike isn’t for everyone—it’s not ideal for pregnant women, young children, or those with mobility issues or a fear of heights. - Some parts of the trail are steep, but nothing too overwhelming if you take it slow. - There’s plenty of wildlife, so expect to see monkeys, birds, and lots of interesting plants along the way. We loved every bit of this hike. It was the perfect mix of adventure, nature, and just enough challenge to make it rewarding. #singaporetrip A beautiful hike and well worth while. If you like animals then this is very enjoyable. I saw many giant lizards, snakes, monkeys and other animals. The view from the tree top pass is amazing and very enjoyable. Well built trail for the Treetop Walk at Macritchie Reservoir Park. The bridge built in the secondary forest offers a terrific and elevated view of the surrounding area. It felt as if you are walking on top of trees while on the bridge. I will recommend this hike to anyone with moderate fitness.

This is a great way to see Singapore: not the major tourist attractions or the hawker centers or the riverfront, but the way Singapore has chosen to preserve some of its green spaces (this is a very densely-populated country!) and make them available to the public. This pleasant and non-stressful walk takes you through Hort Park, a delightful series of tiny themed gardens that volunteers maintain, past some lovely black-and-whites, and among the tree tops of a rainforest. You can hike all the way down to Vivo City/Harbourfront to catch a cab or public transit, have a drink or something to eat ° or go on to Sentosa. We have done this walk several times.#treetopwalk

The TreeTop Walk gate closes at 5pm sharp. Visitors are advised to start hiking towards the bridge by 4.45pm from Ranger Station to avoid disappointment.
